Style is continuity : Ungaro menswear playground, Paris, is a constantly renewed source of inspiration. This season, a sculptor atelier is hosting the collection.
Comfort wear is the key idea of the season : an urban wardrobe for a modern man where all is about comfort and movement.
Accent is given to knitted fabrics and jerseys, used in tailoring and sportswear. Research in lightness of the constructions for formalwear, unconstructed jackets and suits, soft coats like ”dressing gown”, reversible printed blouson and soft short coats.
Lounge pants, jogpants, larger pleated pants with higher waist, casual pants with technical zippers, peacoat in bonded jersey, brushed hairy duffle look.
Authentic menswear patterns are reworked in an unexpected way, softer, larger scale, rounded, and supple. Ornate shirting, rich exclusives prints, decorative and floral, figurative and abstract. Fluid printed viscose on very dark grounds. Jacquards using the “Maison Ungaro logotype”, for jackets and sweatshirts. Reworked camouflage, ethnical inspiration for jacquard in knitwear, visual geometrical patterns. Soft browns, camel, black and white, grey, purple, burgundy, winter “blue lagoon“ and blue hues from deep navy to indigo.
For accessories, shoes are developed with the same “twisted” urban spirit : sneakers and traditional looking brogues or boots, but with a sporty making : rubber and “micro” rubber soles. Lightness and movement. Leather goods, bags and backpacks in nylon and leather with accents of bright color.
