CYNTHIA ROWLEY Spring Summer 2023 at New York Fashion Week

VIP Guests at the Cynthia Rowley Spring Summer 2023 show in New York included Chloe Kim, Sophia Anne Caruso, Mallory Bechtel, Jeremy Zucker, Kit Keenan, Remi Bader, Serena Kerrigan, Paige DeSorbo, Tayshia Adams, Asia Monet Ray, Kate Bartlett, Margot Lee, Sarah Hoover, Daniela Botero, Ella McFadin, Joy Corrigan, Ashley Haas, Waris Ahluwalia, Sophie Sumner, Nigel Barker, Charlotte D’Alessio and more.

Every season, New York City becomes the backdrop and inspiration for Cynthia Rowley’s collections. For Spring/Summer 2023, Lady Liberty was the centerpiece.

Staying true to the brand’s sport-meets-pretty ethos, the SS23 collection showed a mix of ethereal dresses, metallic wetsuits, maxi cargo skirts, and unraveled ribbon dresses.

“Bringing sports and fashion together has given me the freedom to experiment with new fabrics, silhouettes, texture, and lots of color, which you can see in styles like the crinkle silver patent trousers, oversized organza shirts, and sequin crown embellishments on chalky neon chiffon,” stated Rowley. Rugby-inspired dresses, sequin stripe football jerseys, and cropped bold striped turtlenecks were also layered in.

Accessories included chunky low slung belts, pointy metallic wedges, bucket hats, and layered oversized beaded necklaces. The hair was styled in low pigtails to further portray a fun sporty look. As for the makeup, it was kept natural with a 3D winged eyeliner.
