Paco Rabanne Bag, The Iconic 1969 Bag Will Offer In-Store with Customization Atelier.

As the holiday season gets underway, Paco Rabanne is pleased to launch a customization atelier for its iconic 1969 bag in all its variations. For the first three weekends of December, both the Avenue Montaigne and rue Cambon stores in Paris will offer a unique opportunity to enhance the 1969 and Nano bags, among other styles, with lustrous letters and radiant jewels.

These on-site ateliers puts a fresh and interactive spin on the brand’s artisanal heritage. Throughout this limited time, artisans will affix the extra-large letters directly to the bags. Customers can add or remove the jewels, which feature detachable carabiner clasps, to the bags and straps as desired.

The strass-studded alphabet is framed in silver, while the 10 fantasy stones, from small to extra-large, are proposed in several shades that correspond to the current ready-to-wear collection: scarlet, light rose, crystal, aquamarine, topaz and emerald—each in a variety of ornamental settings including square, round and teardrop. From maximalist layering to one’s own initials, the creative possibilities become limitless.

Assembled by hand as a seamless surface of metal pastilles, the Paco Rabanne 1969 bag is the quintessential expression of Paco Rabanne—avant-garde when created more than 50 years ago and timelessly modern today. Customers who already have a 1969 or Nano bag can bring these to the store for an opulent update.

Finally, on December 1st, Paco Rabanne and Vestiaire Collective will welcome customers to the Rue Cambon boutique for an open house to present a selection of pre-loved 1969 bags. This collaboration celebrates timeless craftsmanship and creativity while highlighting the optimism both companies have for a better future of fashion.
