Luca Larenza Fall Winter 2023 – 2024 at Milan Men’s Fashion Week

Luca Larenza retrieves from his past as a street artist the chromatic study that he applied to knitwear and outerwear, emphasized by the materiality of the yarns used.

Luca Larenza’s man is contemporary and sophisticated, classic but irreverent, who does not renounce a comfortable fit, made even more special thanks to an interplay of overlapping volumes and Patterns. The mood always remains positive and relaxed. The particularity of the collection is to be found not only in the workmanship but also in the chromatic dissonance used to compose the colour palette. Coral red is declined on a cardigan made with an extra-fine merino yarn and characterized by the alternation of two different stitches: braid and coarse rib. We continue with a braided pullover in shades of daffodil yellow and entirely hand spun.

These bright tones are diluted with softer, more neutral colours found in some of the collection’s key garments: a Sulphur yellow bouclé work-jacket and a dropped-shoulder patchwork turtleneck jumper made with alternating stitches where cobalt blue mixes with apricot. Over shirts, coats and cargo trousers embellished with contrasting wool Dockets in a diagonal weave complete the looks for Luca Larenza Fall Winter 2023 – 2024.

The yarns are all Precious and Made in Italy, such as alpaca blends, 100% extra-fine Gets-certified merino wool, and super wash merino, a yarn that is made very soft and airy thanks to a special air-drying treatment. With a view to maintaining an increasingly sustainable supply chain, the brand works exclusively with small family-run artisan workshops.

To complete the lifestyle world of the brand, Luca Larenza introduces a homeware line. Characterized by tones and Patternsinspired by his collections, the collection consists of unique ceramics, handmade in the workshops of Villa Elisa, a family home near Caserta, the designer’s retreat and creative hub.

Luca Larenza Fall Winter 2023 – 2024 collection, together with a refined selection of the homeware line, will be Presented on Monday 16th January in the intimate setting of the designer’s studio in Via Manzoni 39.

ABOUT LUCA LARENZA

In 2011 Luca Larenza founded his homonymous brand of Menswear in Milan, thanks to his studies in Fashion Management and later to have gained his first work exDerience as a buyer for some retail multinationals.

Larenza was born in Caserta but is a globetrotter and experimentalist by vocation. After spending four years in Madrid and a long period in which he explores his passion for graffiti while traveling around Europe, in 2009 the designer chooses Milan- the international capital of prét-a-porter – to carry out his Professional project as a self-taught person.

From the very beginning, his fashion is characterized, by a Personal vision of the male’s wardrobe key pieces. An irreverent elegance influenced by his homeland and by the traditional Neapolitan tailoring but also from the choice of excellent quality raw materials.

The designer expresses a successful aesthetic, confirmed by various collaborations with international luxury brands. A wearable collection that could be traced back to the use of colour, which refers to his past as a street artist.

Luca Larenza uses only Made in Italy yarns inspired by contemporary streetwear, which are declined in unusual colours and that have become the hallmark of his brand, especially when they are made to dialogue with impeccable other textile materials.

His outfits, and in particular knitwear and outerwear, best express Larenza’s in-depth chromatic study, which offers a strongly contemporary wardrobe that apparently easily mixes innovation and tradition.

Press, buyers and final clients immediately decree the success of the new label which in 2011 was included among the finalists of the Who’s on next? the scouting ProjectPromoted by Altaromauomoand Vogue ltalia. In 2015, the brand made its debut at the Milan Men’s Fashion Week and in 2017, it was selected for the final of the Prestigious International Woolmark Prize.
