Serapian Fall Winter 2023 – 2024 collection during Paris Fashion Week

Paris, March 6, for the first time in its history, the Italian leather goods maker Serapian is unveiling its new models during Paris Fashion Week, was inaugurated six months earlier, during previous women’s ready-to-wear fashion shows in France.

In the shadow of the Vendôme column, Serapian’s setting is thus redecorated according to the theme of Serapian Fall Winter 2023-2024 collection: Design Blooming.  The House called on the Milanese creative duo Valentina Cameranesi and Enrico Pompili to stage the presentation, in order to reinvent the place by creating a dialogue between works of art and floral installations on the two floors.

Serapian’s idea is to share the sophisticated and colorful atmosphere of the next season with passers-by and, why not also, to arouse the curiosity of some regulars in this district popular for its major watch and jewelry houses.  Like these Parisian institutions, remember that Serapian began by designing unique, racy and tailor-made bags for a clientele of aesthetes in the 1920s.

Each current model from the Milanese leather goods maker is also unique because of the hand-woven lambskin.  A particular know-how that gave birth, in the 1940s, to the emblematic Serapian motif called Mosaico.  Today, this unique graphics of the house is reinvented on the theme of Design Blooming.  Thus, “mestieri d’arte” bags intertwine matte and shiny, smooth and suede leathers with other materials of different colors or appearance.  The technique is called “stop-and-go”.  It gives birth to versions of the Secret bag like so many works of art, sometimes seeming to feature landscapes, vegetation or flowers in the frame of the Mosaico.

The Serapian checkerboard has a knack for changing without being totally different.  It renews itself like nature, which comes back each spring with buds, then leaves and flowers that look both identical and never the same, always lovely.  The Mosaico also reveals all its superbness in a fawn colour, for a new tote format equipped with large basket weave leather handles.  This is the “1928 tote” model which immediately presents itself as the perfect day bag.  Inside, a pocket matching the bag allows you to slip in a few documents and personal effects in complete safety.

Braided leather also appears in a contrasting touch, on some bags and pouches in shearling.  The Mosaico leather band then acts as a seal, a signature.  These models are available in a range of natural, chic, delicate colours, like flower petals.  A slightly stronger pink, almost fuchsia, enhances the adorable mini version of the Meliné bag.
