Lanvin Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 at Paris Fashion Week entitled Vers le monde. Nuances of Lanvin — different shades, eternal codes but with new perspectives.
Lanvin SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection by Artistic Director Peter Copping expands the Lanvin universe, shifting our point of view on its heritage, tradition, and essence in its fusion with his own energy and fresh outlook. For his January début, we returned to the Maison — an act of homage to Lanvin’s heritage as the oldest continually operating Parisian couture Maison, a moment of consolidation and reiteration. For this second act, a year into his tenure, Copping chooses to explore, to venture into the world.
As always, at the core of Lanvin is Jeanne Lanvin, founder and inspiration. Her style, her obsessions and her own timeless notion of le chic ultime still propel the Maison, married with Copping’s distinct vision of modernity. Gentleness, tenderness, a lightness of touch. The esprit Lanvin. Embellishments are rethought. Cabochons are veiled with chiffon, while archival Lanvin embroideries translate to illustrative lines in print to sketch a journey through the house’s history, with a new hand.
Lanvin blue, a color recalculated and reproposed by the Maison, can now broaden its meaning. Lanvin is filled with blues, a color of tranquility, sincerity and freedom. The interior can become exterior, construction celebrated to echo traces of the act of creation, the meaning of ‘Maison’ as a home of couture. Lining materials are shifted to the outside, jackets deconstructed to celebrate the inherent processes of tailoring. Simple grosgrain ribbon, used to anchor the form within couture garments, escape. They become decorative gestures, valorized, suspending evening gowns, fastening precious coats, or entirely worked as dresses or men’s evening tops, at once fragile and giving strength. The reverse of dresses and tailoring are treated as points of emphasis, an echo of Jeanne Lanvin’s own design obsessions, yet also a reflection of a contemporary glancing back to draw inspiration.
Accessories reiterate neo-classic house icons, those introduced in Copping’s debut — the Compagnon handbag, proposed in new matelassé and inlaid leathers, and sharply-pointed pumps and mules energized with a ribbon motif. Men’s shoes follow the same razor sharpness. Lanvin’s past, resignified for the present, primary to the invention of the future.
