Story of Judassime SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026:
After being taken away from her rights and by evil desires in this cruel world she wakes up from a horrible dream called reality where she realises that her body was used. She finds scars and wounds that only she herself could fill/build back. She runs wild and searches through herself how this body of hers could be rebuilt. It is a moment of pain but she feels in this moment of full solitude, she finds the fire to restart. There is a big contrast between every thought and feeling, from the power to fragility, everything is mixing and feels like it could break at any moment but the armor of the new skin she is building is strong and might even become dangerous.
Through sweat and heavy rains of tears she feels entangled and can’t breathe further. What is going on ? Am I stuck ? Did I lose it all ? The memories of a subject appear to be strange and confusing. She feels like she is going different and wild. Days are passing and scars are stitching themselves back together by lacing and protections are growing out of her body. What was once taken away from her, she reclaims.
With anger she decides to destroy the identity of this male figure of her imagination and cuts out all male representing elements in a wardrobe and make it her own again, wings are growing back into her back, she feels it, maybe screaming is relieving her pain. She’s feral but beautiful. What was once the thought of death becomes her armor, the skulls of her past become the protection of tomorrow, she takes back the control of her life by riding it away. Her attic is empty and the suitcases are cut into pieces. The horror of her experiences becomes the beauty of her future and she becomes the flower she once wanted to unalive. She is ready to drive again, protected and maybe a little wild but she is free. Story to physical collection.
For Judassime SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026, In the wake of trauma, dual emotions rise, destruction and rebirth, memory and illusion. “Lost Highway” explores the distortion of recollection and the reconstruction of identity. Each silhouette is a fragment of a haunted journey: scars turned to armor, fragility reborn as defiance. Violence and tenderness intertwine; protection and exposure coexist. The collection redefines survival — not as repetition, but as the creation of meaning from fragments.
Inspired by David Lynch’s “Lost Highway” (1997), the collection mirrors the instability of memory and the rewriting of the self. Every garment inhabits the road between ruin and resurrection — where reality fractures, and beauty emerges from the wound. “Lost Highway” is not a destination, but a passage — an odyssey through trauma and rebirth. It celebrates contradiction: the sacred and profane, the violent and tender, the survivor who reinvents truth. Each silhouette is both confession and emancipation, each scar a declaration of power.
ABOUT THE BRAND, Judassime is a bold fashion label founded in 2020 by Antwerp-based artist Benjamin Voortmans. With no formal background in fashion, the label began as making has since grown into a distinctive voice in conceptuál fashion. Judassime tells stories through fabric and form. Each collection is a dialogue between beauty and brutality, drawing from the shadows of culture, history, and human experience.
