Martino Midali Fall/Winter 2026 / FW26 during Milan Fashion Week

Martino Midali presented the Fall/Winter 26/27 collection in a symbolic location in Milan. Yet even before the gaze settled on the runway, it was in the historic garden of Palazzo Bovara that time shifted its rhythm. At the entrance, a red bench invited guests to pause: not a scenic prop, but a gesture, a space for reflection, speaking of memory and collective responsibility, interrupting the flow of the event to open a moment of listening. This gesture introduced the meaning of I N S O S P E N S I O N E, a collection born of a conscious pause. A suspension that is not immobility, but a balance between form and matter, between interior and exterior. Fashion stops asserting and begins listening, becoming a space to inhabit rather than an aesthetic imposition.

Martino Midali FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 runway show was developed in collaboration with Stati Generali delle Donne, a network committed to promoting gender equality and the value of women’s work. In this context, the red bench became part of a broader cultural path calling for collective responsibility. The numbers cannot be ignored: 113 women were killed in 2024 (94 within a family context); in 2025, according to provisional data, the number stands at approximately 95–100, largely within family settings. One woman every three days. In over 80% of cases, the perpetrator was someone they knew. 6.8 million women have experienced violence in their lifetime. In this scenario, fashion chooses to become presence and awareness.

The Martino Midali Fall/Winter 26/27 collection unfolds as a winter to inhabit, a suspended time in which elongated vertical silhouettes follow the body without constraining it. Soft shoulders, below-the-knee lengths, and continuous volumes shape an urban, composed figure, while wool coats with wide collars and off-center closures reinterpret tailoring tradition through fluidity. Soft pinstripes, geometric jacquards, and straight skirts introduce a graphic yet quiet rhythm.

Materiality is central: mélange wools, herringbone weaves, and compact knits create tactile depth within a palette of luminous neutrals, mineral greys, warm browns, black, and midnight blue. Alongside these textures, crisp, lightweight, matte technical fabrics introduce a contemporary, dynamic vibration through unlined parkas and adjustable volumes, balancing softness and structure. Tone-on-tone knitwear and the protective volumes of faux fur complete a soft and breathable construction defined by measured layering and open shapes. The result is a discreet, conscious elegance that does not define the body but accompanies it, transforming the garment into a space to live in.

Alongside the models, real women returned to the runway — not as symbols, but as presences. Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti — Awareness She has moved through the image without becoming its prisoner. Rigor and sensitivity, discipline and truth. In her, beauty is experience. Ida Di Filippo — Expertise She became a television personality while remaining a true professional. On the runway, she embodies the strength of competence: an independent femininity built on experience and credibility. Lorella Flego — Coherence For years she has narrated fashion with balance and depth. Elegant without excess, contemporary without chasing time. Her identity is her signature. Martina Pascutti — Rebirth A presenter on a major shopping television channel, entrepreneur, and independent mother. She raises her son with strength and lightness, embodying an authentic motherhood. The discipline of her body reveals her determination. On the runway, she carries the awareness of a woman who has chosen herself. Paola Ran — Matter An artist of movement and mark. She layers surfaces, builds spaces, and brings art and fashion into dialogue. Her femininity is ever in the making. Chiara Tagliaferri — Thought A writer who gives voice to women’s stories and turns them into shared heritage. Culture, freedom, multiplicity. Her presence is conscience. They did not walk to represent an ideal. They walked to be themselves.

I N S O S P E N S I O N E thus becomes a shared space in which fashion turns into listening and beauty becomes presence — a winter of urban quiet and material depth, where time expands, form breathes, and elegance endures.
