Loro Piana presents the Fall/Winter 2026 – 2027 Collection in the Cortile della Seta at its Milan headquarters, transporting guests into the season’s concept of voyages that leave lasting impressions, sensations, and memories. In an immersive setting, the Maison reflects on the idea of journey with paisley in all forms and hues. Walls are entirely covered in this pattern with a brown moquette on the floors, creating a dreamy, deeply engaging experience.

The Loro Piana FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 – 2027 Collection unfolds as Nomadic Reverie experienced through the windows of a train crossing landscapes. The collection follows this wander, as impressions gather slowly, shaped by time and distance.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a series of short poems that evoke the passing of the season as the temperatures shift and the colours evolve. These writings act as recollections where movement, memories, and time converge. A small, suspended library is stacked with booklets of the poems. As a voice-over recites the eight poems, listeners are transported through a rhythmic, dynamic flow of time. The narrow passageway connecting the entrance to the main showcase room is crafted from glossy mahogany and features a brushed brass handrail, reminiscent of a train carriage, its windows revealing blurred scenes rushing by.

Once inside the main room, the Fall/Winter 2026-2027 Collection is revealed: mannequins mingle with Sopravisso wool-covered modules showcasing the new bags, while waxed-wood cubicles along the walls display the cashmere Grande Unita scarves. Central to the season is the paisley motif in rich earthy and pumpkin hues, which recurs throughout the presentation, cloaking all the rooms from start to finish, including the nine screens that divide the various areas. Against the walls, five shawls crafted with incredible savoir-faire are displayed, screen-printed with advanced paisley motifs. This technique requires expert skill and precision, an emblem of the Maison’s relentless quest for uniqueness. Paisley motifs are intricate and complex, requiring expertise in printing techniques. Through continuous research, Loro Piana consistently refines its techniques to achieve beautiful colour nuances and precise printing on cashmere and other delicate, lightweight fabrics, preserving the fabric’s softness and unique feel.

The paisley pattern, with its characteristic teardrop motif, dates back over 2,000 years an made its way into Europe in the 18th century. At the Loro Piana Archivio Storico located in Varallo, Italy, several books detailing the history of textiles illustrate the beauty and tradition of paisley, significantly inspiring the Maison’s motifs, which first appeared between the late 1960s and 1970s. As the motif gained prominence, it became a recurring feature on Loro Piana’s printed shawls. Since then, the paisley has played a central role in the House’s collections.

Loro Piana is the symbol of Italian excellence, and its collections embody a distinctive style characterised by understated elegance. Since its foundation, Loro Piana has constantly pursued and redefined the goal of offering sublime beauty and authenticity to a discerning global clientele, while placing equal importance on service quality.
