SARAWONG Fall/Winter 2026 / FW26 at Milan Fashion Week entitled REMAINS OF TIME
On the occasion of Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026-2027, SARAWONG unveils Remains of Time, a collection that explores the silent imprint time leaves on matter. The creative concept stems from a reflection on memory embedded within the layers of the earth, where tundra, sediment, crystals, and roots testify to continuous processes of transformation and renewal.
The inspiration originates from geological stratifications, mineral veins, and fossils that preserve the planet’s invisible history. SARAWONG FW26 / Fall/Winter 2026 collection develops a dialogue between rupture and rebirth, translating natural phenomena such as erosion, sedimentation, and growth into a contemporary sartorial language. Garment surfaces evoke the density of rock and the fluidity of water that shapes stone, turning each fabric into a a tangible archive of transformation.
The color palette is grounded in natural, resonant tones: warm earthy browns, mineral creams, and deep blacks that evoke hidden fissures and shadows, enhanced by subtle metallic reflections and sheer, ethereal transparencies. Materials express a balance between structure and lightness. Leather and knitwear feature textures reminiscent of moss and lichen; fringes and pleats suggest organic movement and mineral flows; lace and organza introduce elements of light and permeability. Craftsmanship stands at the core of the collection, with three-dimensional cord embroidery, sequins, intricate weaving, and openwork techniques emphasizing the dialogue between time and the human hand. Six flowers serve as symbolic narratives within the collection: Dendrobium, Lilium lancifolium, Epiphyllum oxypetalum, Strelitzia, Lathyrus odoratus and Bletilla striata. Each embodies a distinct expression of resilience and transformation.
