Portugal Fashion and ModaLisboa return to Paris Fashion Week ® displaying the emerging talent in Portugal that is increasingly asserting itself as a country where creative talent merges with tradition and innovation.

This presentation of the SS22 collections, within Paris Fashion Week, includes three emerging designers who reflect the new arstistic paradigms of fashion in Portugal. Three performances with distinct and single artistic visions that aim to involve us in a journey of their universe of their unique creations in an exclusive scenic space in one gallery.

An example of this is Constança Entrudo’s proposal for Spring Summer 2022, with a very personal collection that guides us through the visual poetry of the mixture of textiles, performance, sound and sculpture for the perception of the real moment we live in, now. The handmade fabrics become part of the dialogue established with the scenic space where the influence of 60s poetry, inspired by European and Brazilian manifestos and poems, as well as artistic and social movements, is present.

Maria Carlos Baptista continues to reveal her relationship with menswear and how it can be merged into womenswear. The “Mátria” collection marks the beginning of a new era where the Woman is established as the main force, and uses the spoils of the old world to express herself. With a mostly dark palePe, some pieces are highlighted by the artistic mix of shapes, textures and colors. The designer also continues her upcycling work by creating a new life in damaged and lost pieces.

Ricardo Andrez reflects on a new virtual world where we live in Summer 2022, where there is a new reality, completely framed by technology. The ability to access an augmented reality when in contact with clothes is supplanted by raw finishes, without ever losing the attention to details provided by the Portuguese manufacture that the designer relies in his studio in Portugal. The fusion of the two visions where organic cotton coexists with materials sensitive to body temperature.
