The JOEONE Fall Winter 2022 – 2023 season is inspired by the Tang Dynasty, who was an imperial dynasty of China that ruled from 618 to 907 AD.
The Tang Chinese enjoyed feasting, drinking, holidays, sports, and all sorts of entertainment, while Chinese literature and art blossomed and was more widely accessible with new printing methods.
JOEONE is mastering the pants silhouette, engineered by Louis-Gabriel Nouchi. A new contemporary vision of the traditional way of wearing a pant, applied to modern men which brings elegancy to the silhouette.
Key points of the looks are ; specific waist bands, an asymmetric closing system and big gusset pockets.
The silhouette is extended in a unique way with avery long sleeve bringing a traditional silhouette into a melancholic nonchalance.
Using a knot as a closing system, but adding length and sensuality, expresses the richness of the fabrics used for this collection. Only noble fabrics such as silk or virgin wool have been used.
Embroidery which is part of the Chinese savoir-faire is applied to the garment, with a symbol of good luck.
All the prints are based of the ceramic style invented by the Tang Dynasty, treated with a very strong color palette ; the drips, the ivy pattern, as well as the embroidery are inspired by plates, vases, or pillows, used during this period.
The little black pants, emblem of the JOEONE brand, is reinterpreted this season with new.
