PATCHOULI STUDIO
PATCHOULI STUDIO Ethic. Gender Fluid. Handmade. Since 2020 Patchouli_Studio is an expression of these three ideas. By using the language of knitwear design, its founder Andrea Zanola creates in each piece a possible living universe. Ethic because each fibre of Patchouli_Studio comes from dead stocks materials, recycle and reuse. Main sources are selected surplus productions from manufacturers who would waste them, and vintage and damaged fabrics chosen from local markets. After this accurate research, Patchouli_Studio disassemble, redesigns and create new garments, giving them a contemporary soul.
Gender Fluid because knitwear is a-temporal. In its different weight, wool is perfect both for winter and summer. The same is for the different personalities who chose to wear Patchouli_Studio, beyond masculine or feminine. Adding cotton, silk, linen, or mixed fabrics, both weavings, intarsia and embroidery could be infinite.
When it is not from Andrea’s direct creativity, each piece is handmade, -to measure, personalised and fitted on the human who ordered it. Where other designers would add “- in Italy”, Patchouli_Studio says “on this Planet” because often its materials come from different sides of the world with the only condition of having a short supply chain certification. Also, as Patchouli_Studio headquarter lays in Brescia, its founder keeps his eyes wide open both on Paris and on all the new waves who came from the digital universe. Patchouli_Studio express the urge of a new sensibility in fashion. It demonstrates that “conscious” can also be “new avant-garde”.

MOUTY
Founded in October 2018 in Paris, MOUTY presents a new contemporary men’s fashion – showing a casual and suave style, a subtle and soft masculinity. For the Fall/Winter 2022 season, MOUTY has imagined a very sensual collection, both elegant and rebellious. At a time when people are deprived of human contact, its pieces transpire the provocation, invite to the transgression and retranscribe the print left by the end of the 1990s on the couple of creators.
In the eyes of Thomas and Bertille, this period is that of an erotic freedom and an assumed provocation which marked their passage to adolescence as much as their sexual education.
The cinematographic references and pop icons of the time were major sources of inspiration for this collection: George Michael and his videos, Demi Moore in Strip Tease, Mickey Rourke and Kim Bassinger in 9 1/2 weeks or Ryan Philippe in Cruel Intentions…
The impulses aroused by these films had to make a comeback today and they are expressed in a collection that remains true to MOUTY’s codes: instinctive fashion where the rigor of the cuts and the choice of exclusive materials sublimate a deeply vintage style that makes the brand’s identity. Leather, transparency, python, corset, fur, silk, this collection is made to be seen, worn… and touched.
