Oidheadh Chlainne Lir
Two sons and two daughters
A dark lament
Crushed Taffeta wings,
an exploration of outerwear and what lies beneath
Blood line and Quilted blankets
bitter sequins, blue velvet

Notes :
The Children of Lir (Irish: Oidheadh chloinne Lir) is a legend from Irish mythology. It is a tale from the post-Christianisation period that mixes magical elements such as druidic wands and spells with a Christian message of Christian faith bringing freedom from suffering. *
The four children of Lir were turned into swans by their aunt, who had married their father. She became infected with jealously of the attention their father bestowed upon his children. She cursed the children to spend nine hundred years in bird form. Follow the children in this book as they embark on many adventures as swans and read what happens as the curse comes to its fulfillment. **
