Alexandra Moura Fall Winter 2022 – 2023 present Home Sweet Home at Milan Fashion Week.
This collection takes us on an introspective journey on what “home” represents for each of us. In this last period, 6 in the house we have found comfort and safety. In our home we know what is present in its interior, whether they are memories or objects that have accompanied us throughout our life. It is our own world, where we can be and stay as we want. The comfort of dressing, staying, living at home.
In this collection the prints developed and the fabrics chosen refer to the imagery of the various elements of the mem-orabilia of the houses that each of us has. The woven felt, the fabric with cow motifs and the tartan sweaters refer to the blankets and rugs for the home. The presence of the satin “draperies”, the eco-leather of the capitonné sofas and armchairs, or the bags that look like cushions all help to compose this “Lar Doce Lar” (“Casa Dolce Casa”).
The flip-flops featured in this collection stand out above all, alongside the injection-molded shoes. The urban side ° can be seen in the use of denim and in the silhouette allusive to streetwear. As usual, Alexandra Moura works on classic / urban contrasts, and these are strongly visible in the stamp details scattered over the various moments of the collection.
On the one hand, we want to allude once again to sofas! and to traditional production, on the other hand, to the subversion of the classic. Home is balance, search for perfection and beauty in chaos. The presence of the concept of “error” or “making errors” is therefore made interesting by means of elements, such as bottoms, placed in an unusual way and distorted garments. “Lar doce Lar ” takes the house out, as it transports us back to a safe haven and tunes us in to our little worlds.
