ACT N°1 Fall Winter 2022 – 2023 at Milan Fashion Week
We are Black, White, Pink, Blue, but we bleed the same colour. We have different beliefs, but the same life circle. ACT N°1 creatures of any colour is a statement of liberty and individuality. We are heading to the future and we are welcoming more and more onboard.
The collection is framed on the human body. Cuts are following the anatomical shapes and lines sometimes embracing volumes. Cuts are embroidered with safety pins and semitransparent details embrace and reveal sensitive spots.
All prints come from ancient artworks that are digitized, redrawn and transformed by the creative directors Gassanoff and Lin. This process makes each print original and unique to the brand and go from Peonies to Landscapes. This season’s highlight is based on one of the brand’s most representative pattern, the antique Chinese watercolour paintings.
Early 20th-century posters and ads driven prints are new additions to the iconic print series: from pre-republican banknotes to customs border stamps, traditional medication/diet ads to firecrackers and flour companies logos, showcasing elements from the last days of Imperial China to its early.
Double jackets, iconic hybrid items, ruffle jackets are tailoring challenges constantly gracing ACT N°1 collections as staples of the brand DNA. Mesh detailed trousers, embroidered bra items match with oversized jackets. Evening gowns with long trains are presented in solid colours and prints, while ruffle coats with interesting volumes are patched with intarsias. Safety pins turn into decorative and technical assembling devices on disassembled jackets and coats and on eco-washed and dyed denim, manipulated with cuts.
Favourite fabrics are silk twill, satin, jacquard knit, mohair, tulle, nylon, gabardine and denim. Bright red, yellow, azure and fuchsia are dominant colours.
ACT N°1 is launching The Ruffle Bag, entirely handmade with tulle ruffles and finished with a silver chain, produced in Maxi and Medium sizes.
ACT N°1 x Kallistè is on its second collaboration. Oversize cuissard graced with metal carabiners, comma heeled pumps/ankle boots and high plateau slippers made with nappa.
