Rokh Fall Winter 2022 – 2023 present Hometown Hero at Paris Fashion Week

Throughout the years, I have been blessed to know so many incredible women. Though each one possessed her own unique personal style, they all moved through life with an overwhelming confidence that inspired me and shaped the Rokh brand. In honor of their individuality, I did not want to dictate a single sense of dress this season. Instead, I crafted a personal narrative, designing each look around a different woman and letting her characteristics come to the fore. You might glimpse them, those women who crossed my path at different points in time— my mother, my sister, high school friends, university teachers, work colleagues. I hoped to project their shared attitude.

For me, there was one item that best exemplified their mindset: the simple but chic sneaker. I so admired the strength and confidence of the women who wore sneakers for every occasion, whether it be to the office or to a swanky fashion party. Of course, putting the Rokh spin on it, we made our twisted running shoes, their pads and closures patched together like a bit of collage art. They ground every look in the collection.

As always, the working woman comes to the fore in our signature sharp tailored jackets and skirts, this time covered in a number of belted straps that give a twist to masculine suiting. For a bit of eccentricity, we continued to pair unfamiliar elements together—see the classic check fabric coat with a high knit collar, covered in hardware buckles and trimmed with electric red feathers. As for our seasonal textile development, we worked with a few full floral looks that are not print, but full jacquard and as richly textured as a Victorian carpet bag for Rokh Fall Winter 2022 – 2023 Collection.

There are a few waterproof Windbreakers in the mix, including a colorblocked number worn over a houndstooth skirt suit with sneakers—another nod to the modern working woman. The jacket unzips at the waist to create a neat cropped effect. The graphics in this collection are little riffs on hometown embellishments: college emblems, varsity letters and patches, which look like prints but have all been individually embroidered. It’s those artisanal details blended with youthful energy that I love: A couture corset gown, covered in individually hand-sewn crystals, worn with patchwork sneakers and a ball cap. That confident, carefree attitude is truly beautiful.
