JUNNY® Set to Bring a New Collection to This Year’s New York Fashion Week

NEW YORK (August 25, 2022) — Next month, JUNNY® will return to New York Fashion Week (NYFW) for their third showcase. Building on the momentum from last year’s debut, the brand will once again champion the beauty and brilliance of Black design and culture through bold pieces that draw on transnational creative exchange.

The brand’s latest collection uses the language of fashion to explore the human experience and the complexities of how we create and persevere with equal parts of joy and pain.

On September 13, the brand will release its latest collection on CDFA Runway 360 and NYFW.com. The digital experience will immerse audiences in a visual exploration of the human heart and mind. Through fashion, dance, and spoken word, the presentation will illuminate the complexities of how we create and persevere with equal parts of joy and pain. Expect to see unexpected pairings and wearable, seasonless pieces mixed with warm neutrals and bold splashes of color.

“NYFW is fashion’s biggest stage, so I am grateful for the opportunity to return and showcase my brand,” said Junny Ann Hibbert, the brand’s designer. “I am committed to using this platform to tell stories about race, culture, and community.”

JUNNY® debuted for the first time on the official NYFW stage in September 2021 with the critically acclaimed collection, Mama, which paid homage to her mother. This year, she received Visa’s 2022 “She’s Next in Fashion” grant. As a part of the program, a pop-up shop in Hudson Yards on Manhattan’s West Side is planned for September 17 and 18. Pieces from the collection and archival reissues will be on display and available for purchase.
