Leonardo 5th Avenue, a luxury brand with an innovative and dynamic approach to tailoring helmed by co-designers Leonardo Cordero Suria and Ana Sofia Cordero, celebrated its 50th Anniversary by debuting at New York Fashion Week. The runway show took place at 608 5th Avenue, on the very same iconic street that gave the brand its name.
The new collection, BOLD SS23, was inspired by our modern artistic society projecting a feeling of optimism and hopefulness towards the future while living a moment in time with political and environment uncertainties.
The looks presented consider functionality contrasted with a playful tone that speaks to consumers need for a feeling of fun and optimism. One of the main elements and inspirations of the collection was street artists that use cities as their canvas and forms of expressions by transforming spaces into beautiful art or creating statements of hopefulness and distractions for the world.
This collection depicts bold pairing of prints and styles that wouldn’t normally fit the traditional norm of tailoring by incorporating sleeveless coats, long trains, collarless blazers, over skirts, among other non-traditional element, while maintaining the brand’s elegance and formal essence. BOLD SS23 brings a visually tactile appeal to functionality, unique prints, colors, and styles. Pairing bold colors with lighter tones and prints for a sense of playful summer.
Several of the details highlighted through this collection in addition to the vibrant colors, patterns and styles were the accessories. Incorporating wide cummerbunds, bags, glasses with chains and jewelry.
