The PINETIME Spring Summer 2023 present The Whitewash Capsule – Coastline collection’s aim is to take you on a journey far from your everyday city life where lands meet the sea, experienced by the constantly changing scenery, shaped by the powers of nature.
For us, it means colors and textures we have dreamed about. Beauty in so many different ways, shapes, and forms.
This Spring Summer 2023 IS THE COASTLINE. A collection inspired by nature’s thousand faces but especially three seaside elements: the waves, the land, and the flora as they blend in with each other. They are proud to say all of the garments from the Spring / Summer 2023 collection are produced in Hungary in local factories and 80% of the products are made with sustainable materials, using organic cotton, recycled polyester yarns, and bamboo.
They, at PINETIME, love surfing and almost every water activity. When waves are breaking, the surface of the ocean shows a unique pattern, the Whitewash. It inspired them to dedicate a capsule series within their new collection, using only sustainable materials and supporting an ocean cleaning project along the way.
Keeping our ecosystem clean and free from waste is essential nowadays, so they decided to support SUNGAI WATCH, an environmental organization founded in Bali, Indonesia with a mission to stop plastic from going into the ocean. By donating money from every sale of this capsule, they try to give a little back to our natural capital for a more sustainable future for our planet. SUNGAI WATCH is an environmental organization founded in Bali, Indonesia. They are on a mission to protect and restore Indonesia’s rivers by developing and designing simple technologies to stop the flow of plastic pollution from going into the ocean. More than 80% of plastic pollution in our oceans comes from rivers and streams.
Along with this capsule they also partnered up with their good photographer / cinematographer friend, Balint Hambalko, to integrate one of his artwork into the Whitewash capsule. He was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, and now living the dream in Indonesia, spending most of his time in the water, filming the best surfers in the world. During lay days, he likes to spearfish and he cooks what he catches.They are happy to call Balint a Pinetime advocate and they believe that his life journey and passion can be a true inspiration for all the people.
