Made For A Woman is a brand that was born in Madagascar in 2019, from an idea of its founder and designer Eileen Akbaraly. “No two women are alike, and no two bags are alike”, says its founder. According to her vision, handcrafted products reflect the life of every woman and the craftswomen of Made For A Woman intertwine aesthetics with ethics to create unique accessories.
Bibikely: s.m. chameleon (in Malagasy)
Precious, exclusive and perfectly imperfect, the bags and accessories of Made For A Woman brand (WFTO certified brand) are made of raffia, woven and worked with traditional techniques, revisited in a contemporary way. An ethical and sustainable raffia: harvested in a protected national park in northwestern Madagascar (with Amfori BSCI and GOTS certified suppliers).
Dyed with AZO-free pigments and natural colors for the protection of its customers, its artisans and the planet.
For spring / summer 2023 Made For A Woman proposes an imaginative journey through the values of Madagascar: resilience and individuality. A uniqueness well represented also by the chameleon, inspiration for unexpected shades; where colors, shapes and workmanship are the expression of continuous research.
The great classics of the brand, revisited with innovative shapes and avant-garde weaves, are proposed alongside new models that wink at Generation Z.

About Eileen Akbaraly
Eileen Akbaraly, born in 1994, has a multicultural background (Italian, French, Indian and Malagasy). Being born in a country considered an earthly paradise, but also one of the poor in the world, pushed and brought Eileen closer to humanitarian work, which was the fil rouge of her professional life and not hers.
After various experiences in the area with various non-profit organizations, she moves to Milan where she studies Fashion Business at the Marangoni Institute and then to Paris for a Master in Global Communication with a focus on the social responsibility of fashion.
In 2019, Made For A Woman sees the light: a project that perfectly blends the two souls of Eileen, entrepreneur and humanitarian. The brand is based on a social business idea that goes beyond profit, meeting the needs of people, especially women.
