SVENCUM SPRING/SUMMER 2024 AT PARIS FASHION present L’eau et le cheval

SVENCUM, founded in Paris by Junyan XU in 2020, is a conceptual menswear fashion label that seeks to maintain a balanced outlook on life and pursue radical romanticism.

Especially Inspired by Shelly Kagan’s Death, Junyan Xu investigated some philosophical issues concerning death and started to examine the myriad questions that arise when we confront the meaning of mortality, to create a dialogue between death and fashion.

Moving between the words of art and design, the designer uses the philosophical narrative of the common wardrobes as the starting point for each collection, through its exclusive pattern language and unique sewing crafts each season.

SVENCUM SS24 collection was woven by jacquard techniques, including mulberry silk and cotton, following the Mandarin aesthetics system, SVENCUM developed a certain combination of ink and engraving printing language to express the awareness of impermanence and the ephemeral nature of beauty.
