Maroussia Rebecq recreates 50 iconic silhouettes from the history of fashion on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the CAPC Museum in Bordeaux.
Maroussia Rebecq, artist, founder of the Andrea Crews brand, pioneer of upcycling, recreates 50 historic looks by transforming second-hand clothing.
A combination of upcycled clothing and readymade clothing that speaks to our imagination, pays homage to the signature of the creators and shows that it is possible to create a runway look at a lower cost in a do it yourself dynamic.
The silhouettes were designed in a double workshop, a collaboration between the EBAX school of fine art and the CONDE fashion school in Bordeaux, in partnership with the Social and Solidarity Economy association LE RELAIS Girondin, which sorts and recycles almost 20 tons of second-hand clothing per day.
Maroussia Rebecq leads social innovation projects through Art and Fashion. Her expertise is Upcycling of which she does design or transdisciplinary and collaborative performances. It develops creative development strategies by offering its partners the opportunity to exist outside the box, between radical artistic creation and a social, ecological and sustainable project.
A feminist and committed entrepreneurial artist, she uses Entertainment to address the transition, and proves that humanist values ​​such as joy or freedom are also tools of attraction, collaboration, and Empowerment.
