Momma’s Blues SS24 / Spring Summer 2024 collection entitled Dolly Takes A Trip.

“Well I can’t tell you where I am going, I’m not so sure of where I’ve been but I know I must keep travelin’ till my roads come to an end.

I’m out there on my journey, trying to make the most of it…

I’m just travelin’, travelin’, travelin’

I’m just travelin’on…”

This how I see my first collection for SS24, a new journey for me and for momma’s blues enjoying it like dolly. – Hala  Mouawad

For this very first collection of hala mouawad, inspirations come as always from music and cinema aestethic first. Travelling with Dolly Parton in the back country reflects a certain way of dressing up too.

Vintage leather jackets are the brand’s signature pieces with embellishments fringes and mix of figurative leather patterns, heart shaped studs.. There are a “…a symbol of individuality and beliefs…” – Wild at heart, David Lynch.

For Momma’s Blues SS24 collection, it is all about snakes, flames and moons – very iconic shapes, dear to the brand. There are a ”a symbol of individuality and beliefs” and will always remain memorable. They usually come as a set with a leather candy mini skirts and bras to wear underneath.

The ‘darling’ dresses feminine and truly seductive, are designed to party…deep necklines, mini with hand made patterns, embroideries or daring open sides.

Denim is particularly important too and the unique 501 levis is completely revamped with bold cut out on the sides that definitely remind of the cowboy pants but also reloaded as a cute bra or gaiters.

Momma’s blues fit anyone and believe that every individuality can be enhanced with responsible and bold clothing that go beyond fashion as there are regenerated here to last.

Founded by Hala Mouawad, Momma’s Blues (named after Townes Van Zandt’s 1971 album, Delta Mama Blues) reworks vintage and leftover leather or denim, pushing customization to the extreme. The result is iconic pieces created with imagery steeped in musical or cinematic references.

The brand has so far been featured in magazines such as L’Officiel, Vogue or Interlope and celebrities like Millie Bobby Brown have already been seen wearing the brand’s iconic pieces.
