Angelos Frentzos SS24 Spring Summer 2024 collection at Milan Fashion entitled “DEPARTURES”

Angelos Frentzos takes flight with the co-ed Spring Summer 2024 collection, drawing inspiration from departures and the bustling energy of airports as points of exchange. This innovative collection features elements referencing passport photo booths, with bold stripes and captivating prints that infuse a clear graphic mood into the designs.

The Angelos Frentzos SS24 collection showcases a fusion of casual classic forms in modern fabrics, creating a dynamic contrast with the stunning “crashed effect” tailoring. It also embraces ceremonial tailoring techniques inspired by the tuxedo, showcasing sophistication and elegance. Moreover, jelly fabrics create a form-fitting structure that blocks under-layered garments with pleated and draped variations. It even embodies the act of salvage, as hardware details are replaced with golden elements, elevating the design.

Finally, the Angelos Frentzos SS24 collection explores the juxtaposition of narrow silhouettes with a millennial feel against jumbo-sized forms. It brings the Y2K aesthetic to the spotlight, emphasizing layering and anti-luxury accessories. A celebration of innovation, style, and a departure from the ordinary.

Biography Angelos Frentzos

Angelos Frentzos born in Athens, Greece in 1972. He graduates in Athens school of fine arts and printing design in 1992 and starts working as prints designer for textile companies specialised in furnishing as well as clothing.

At the same time teams up with with Sophia Kokosalaki and create a collection of conceptual experimental garments, based on attitudes and moods of the new age music era.

Angelos Frentzos graduates in fashion design and textile (Central Saint Martins -London) in 1999 and initiates the preparation of the Angelos Frentzos women’s collection.

At 2001 encouraged by a fashion talent scout, presents his first women’s collection in Milan Fashion Week, represented by breramode sales showroom, and launches internationally the Angelos Frentzos label.

He pointed and named creative director of Alma, historical italian fashion house for whom he designs four collections in a row ( f/w 2002-03 till s/s 2004 ).

In 2002 he launches his menswear label in order to create an image of both sexes based on his taste for contemporary art, music and attitude. This need ended up an unexpected success that competed commercially with his womenswear line.

Angelos Frentzos wins first prize in textiles at the lycra dupont competition in 2003.
