“Il est cinq heures, Paris s’éveille” (5AM, Paris is waking up) — I like to think of AMI FW24 collection as the wisdom collection. It stems from a personal sensation I have had lately, of being at the right time at the right place. In many ways, it tells bits of my story: 43 years of life, 25 years of fashion design and 13 years of AMI.

CONCEPT AND SET AMI Alexandre Mattiussi FW24 / Fall/Winter 2024-2025

AMI Alexandre Mattiussi FW24 / Fall/Winter 2024-2025 fashion show took place last night at 8.30 pm at the Tennis Club de Paris. A legendary sporting facility with a 1930’s vibe, the club has long been a favorite venue for fashion shows. The set design was inspired by traditional Haussmann-style Parisian buildings, and the concept of the scenography mirrored the spirit and inspiration of the collection: late night/early morning in Paris, when night owls cross path with early-risers, in a pre-dawn atmosphere of carefree elegance.

After entering the Tennis Club through a dark corridor, guests found themselves inside a gigantic black box, facing a wall with a barely perceptible building. As the show started, in pitch-dark, the models entered the stage from a main door on the façade wall, which very gradually lighted throughout the show, slowly revealing a Parisian Haussmann façade, until the end of the show when the light is at its maximum — the day has risen.

CASTING AMI Alexandre Mattiussi FW24

The casting for AMI Alexandre Mattiussi FW24 show was a source of lovely surprise, in the purest AMI tradition. It was characterized this season by the presence of three outstanding personalities, French fashion icons Lou Doillon and Laetitia Casta, as well as German actor and model Diane Kruger, who accepted Alexandre Mattiussi’s invitation to walk down the catwalk.

AMI’s signature touch, an intergenerational mix of models, once again defined the casting: established models (Liu Wen, Selena Forrest, Audrey Marnay, Andres Velencoso, Imaan Hamman, Ugbad Abdi and Mona Tougaard among others) shared the runway with up-and-coming faces (such as Taemin Park, Sascha Rajasalu and Neo Gregori).

AMI’s guestlist at the AMI Alexandre Mattiussi Fall/Winter 2024-2025 fashion show included friends of the f.AMI.ly and of Alexandre Mattiussi. They mingled with AMI’s ambassadors, including actor Wooshik Choi. Fran Drescher, Ed McVey, Juliette Binoche, Ross Lynch, Jihyo and Steven Zhang were also in attendance, together with the likes of Dominique Fishback, Isabelle Adjani and Vincent Cassel.

AMI Alexandre Mattiussi Fall/Winter 2024-2025 embodies the confident elegance of nighttime Paris, showcasing AMI’s distinguished wardrobe with outstanding depth, expressed through patterns textures, movements and shapes. The collection boldly transitions by embracing the elegance and sophistication that characterize the Maison.

Defined silhouettes, with sharp lines and petite proportions, showcase slender shoulders and trim sleeves. Colors include black, grey and navy blue, variations of brown and beige, and powdered hues like cream, clay or lilac. Lighter textures and fabrics highlight AMI’s extraordinary hand: fluffy and airy, generous and soft, while a range of mixed patterns evokes the collection’s night-and-day spirit.

BAGS AMI FW24

The AMI FW24 includes bold variations, in shapes and materials, of iconic AMI bags: a bowling bag and a bucket bag, new models of the iconic Paris Paris line; new designs of the celebrated Déjà Vu line, and of the body-hugging Paname Paname messenger bag; introduces a unisex range of vegetal leather goods within the Paris Paris line.

ACCESSORIES AMI FW24

Among the season’s accessories, jewelry features strass necklaces and chunky gold buttons proposed throughout the collection as a decorative detail. Shoes are adorned with the signature striped heel, in alternating black and wood. The AMI FW24 collection introduces lifestyle items mirroring AMI’s spirit: a range of sunglasses; a variety of socks, hats, beanies and scarves; keyrings with Parisians icons; belts with exclusive Ami de Cœur buckles.
