“Are you alright?” When I am asked like that, I always answer “Yeah, I’m fine” I smile as much as I can and try to be strong. But the truth is, I’m actually hurt.

We get hurt because we long for things. Why not pretend those things don’t exist? Keep the hearts closed, and we won’t feel pain. It might be easier if we forget that we were even human.

But, little by little, We must allow our frozen hearts to beat again. We must allow ourselves to feel the warmth of hope again. For “hope” is what makes us human.

Wounds will heal. We will one day recover from the pain, We will then be able to say from the bottom of our hearts, “I’m fine”
