Borsalino unveils its UK retail debut at the prestigious Burlington Arcade. The Brand’s growing expansion project continues, focusing on main European capital cities.
London [February 28th, 2024]: Borsalino opens a new boutique at renowned historic shopping destination Burlington Arcade for Borsalino London. This retail debut in the United Kingdom marks another important step in the Brand’s expansion, which has represented the highest level of Italian excellence and savoir faire in the production of hats since 1857.
Burlington Arcade, described as ‘the jewel in Mayfair’, is one of London’s most prestigious shopping areas. The new two level Borsalino boutique, covers over 40 square meters and is situated at the Piccadilly end of the 196-yard arcade. The retail concept, created by architect Nicola Quadri for Borsalino, first debuted for the Maison’s recent boutique openings in Via della Spiga, Milan and in the Italian resort area of Forte dei Marmi, was expertly implemented for Burlington Arcade, resulting in a harmonious balance between traditional and contemporary style.

The Borsalino London Burlington Arcade boutique stocks the Made in Alessandria Maison’s latest men’s and women’s collections of hats, caps, and accessories. The new opening is part of Borsalino’s retail development plan inaugurated in 2023 that saw new boutique openings in Forte dei Marmi, Monte Carlo, and Milan Malpensa International Malpensa Airport’s Piazza del Lusso. The Pop-Up Borsalino project, which runs from 2 November 2023 to 7 January 2024, is successfully continuing with a temporary boutique in the Printemps Haussmann department store in Paris.
To celebrate the opening of the Borsalino boutique in London, the Beadles, guardians who wear vintage uniforms and are responsible for welcoming visitors to Burlington Arcade will wear an iconic Borsalino Alessandria wide-brimmed hat in porto dyed felt during the first month of trading.

Burlington Arcade opened on 20th March 1819 “for the sale of jewellery and fancy articles of fashionable demand, for the gratification of the public”. Today it is recognised as one of London’s most iconic landmarks and provides a unique outdoor but covered retail experience within a historical 204-year-old property.
