Paris, France – March 1st, 2024 – WINDOWSEN, the avant-garde fashion house known for its boundary-pushing designs has unveiled, for their second participation to the Women’s Paris Fashion Week, its FALL WINTER 2024 Ready-To-Wear collection.

Continuing the narrative of ChatAngels RTW2024 – a story presented during their last show in September 2023 – the collection transports us into the digital realm of Windowsen, where the story takes a thrilling turn at the KillAngles RTW FW24 collection.

From a romantic love story to an enchanting ball, the virtual world evolves rapidly, leading to a period of upheaval and intrigue. As the plot unfolds, themes of rebellion and transformation emerge and a period of great purge within the virtual world. The plan to make all the angels disappeared is quietly unfolding…

KillAngels and ChatAngels, intertwined like twin series, form the backbone of this WINDOWSEN FW24 / Fall Winter 2024 collection, featuring a seamless blend of fantasy and reality. Expect to see a fusion of rich colors, whimsical sports elements, and futuristic aesthetics, creating captivating silhouettes that capture the essence of virtual escapades and real-world adventures. On this Windowsen released their new “Metal Dragon” high heel boots.

INTERVIEW WITH WINDOWSEN

What is the inspiration behind WINDOWSEN FW24 RTW collection?

I am constantly inspired by virtual and digital worlds. When it comes to my own creation – my own fashion collection – all these are somehow blended into my inspiration of my creativity.

As you can see Chat Angel RTW2024 was a virtual dreamy story in which the main character attended a fancy ball, however it took a drastic thrilling turn in this KillAngels RTW AW24 collection. Like many of the great stories we have read, the ups and downs and contradictions makes the story more fascinating, and unpredictable incidents always turn the story into a more appealing and unforgettable experience to audience or readers.

Models are always the highlight of your presentation, who can we expect on this presentation?

Diversity is one of our brand values, I don’t just like throwing out individual names. We welcome anyone who is synced with our style and would like to express themselves in our show. We are so grateful that we got thousands of bios sent to us every time we do an open casting call on social media. It is a very tough situation for our team to just pick a limited numbers of models and participants for our shows. We wish we could have more and more people joining us.

How does it feel to work with Beats?

Music is always my inspiration and part of my lifestyle, and I always have my Beats Studio Pro with me for when I need some music and privacy at my office or home.

I feel so excited and honoured to work with Beats, and I think the spirit of cultivating culture, sports, style and fashion aligns perfectly with my vision for Windowsen. I like the way that we were trying to explore more possibilities together.

This is just a beginning, and I look forward to exploring different projects with Beats and other likeminded brands.

How does it feel being the first Chinese designer to work with this global audio brand?

I feel proud, it’s something I never imagined would happen. That said, when I work as a designer and a creator, I don’t usually think of where I am from. I think creativity is our common language and I would like to express and share my ideas and thoughts to anyone who is interested in my design, around the world. Where I am from is just one part of my identity.

Design feature of Beats collaboration

This time we partnered with Beats to introduce their take on the Beats Studio Pro. My first thought of this collaboration is that this over ear headphone could be such a bold accessory item or any outfits. There are five colorways purple, green, yellow, blue, and red, in a gradient design. This gradient design often appears in my design, I think gradient is a good form to enforce layering touch and feel on design. Besides, I also created a story as a narrative of this collaboration, which the main character, a vampire diva she is dressed in a “sporty couture” style, which I think this design is perfect for her. Each headphone is meticulously crafted with 5000 hand-mounting led-free crystals, and as you know, WINDOWSEN we are mainly a couture brand, craftsmanship is one of the key elements for us.
