FTA Prize 2024 – Fashion Trust Arabia unveils Marrakech as Host City on April 3rd, 2024 1:00pm, UAE time.
Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA), is thrilled to announce that the 6th Edition of the FTA Prize will be held in Morocco in October 2024 as part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Years of Culture.
The Years of Culture Qatar-Morocco 2024 event commenced on February 20th, with a special exhibition of Berber jewelry from the Royal Palace at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, acknowledging the exceptional ties between the two countries, their peoples, and the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.
At the core of its mission FTA has strived to consistently champion regional creative communities and this year is no exception. As part of its ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusivity and in partnership with the Years of Culture initiative, aimed at strengthening relations between nations and their peoples, FTA has chosen the vibrant city of Marrakech as its host location. This decision highlights the strong relationship between Qatar and Morocco showcased through the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, as well as their shared commitment to supporting Arab culture and nurturing talent within the region.
As part of this initiative, The FTA Prize 2024 will welcome guests from around the world to explore and celebrate Moroccan heritage, aiming to spearhead sustainable cultural partnerships between Qatar and other countries. This initiative promotes respect and understanding between diverse cultures by developing programs related to all aspects of culture.
To reveal this exciting news, FTA has created a short video featuring Moroccan talents from diverse creative backgrounds, each exemplifying the rich tapestry of Moroccan artistry and talent in their own unique way.
The format of the finalists’ showcase, judges’ deliberation, and awards ceremony will remain consistent with previous editions. An extensive program, including events surrounding FTA, will be shared at a later stage.
An initiative aimed at strengthening relations between nations and their peoples, Years of Culture has designated Morocco as Qatar’s partner for the year 2024.
The year will be marked by major art exhibitions, festivals, and cultural events in each of the two countries. It is worth noting that no fewer than 80 events are planned.
