ALCHÈTIPO BY ANDREA ALCHIERI 2024 – 2025 Collection at Milan entitled CINEMA’S CHORUS

CINEMA’S CHORUS is the seasonless collection 2024 – 2025 of the aesthetic project ALCHÈTIPO by Andrea Alchieri, which revolves around the concept of magic, an element that has enchanted human for millennia, evoking terror, laughter, shock and wonder.

ALCHÈTIPO BY ANDREA ALCHIERI 2024 – 2025 collection is inspired by the book “The Magic Book” published by Taschen, which portrays a world tinged with anguished black and eccentric colors, with distorted bodies, cryptic messages and references to the constant struggle between good and evil. Persecuted in the past, magicians have always been vehicles to a parallel universe of invoked spirits, mind readings, inverted laws or magic tricks. Pioneers of special effects, they have never ceased to confuse us by making the impossible possible on stage, thus giving rise to cinematic special effects.

The theme developed is closely linked to the identity of Andrea Alchieri’s aesthetic project, whose fascination with the grim and macabre also appears in past collections. Emerging from the naming itself is the suggestion of alchemy, the ancient art combining science and magic, which for the creative artist represents a fil rouge that cyclically sinks in and re-emerges, drawing on surrealist cinema where, through a mix of languages, he creates an entire project laced with mysteries and occult beauty.

The designer, seduced by the esoteric aspect, develops his ideas by placing velvet curtains and chairs at the centre of attention, with eccentric and surrealist all-over prints evoking psychedelic trips, inspired by the photographic work of Ira Cohen and redesigned by print designer Sharon Bassi to give life to a collection of garments evoking an introspective journey.

His transfers to the cut, to corsetry, to the protagonist splints on deconstructed blazer overcoats, to the extremely creative and disturbing hair, to the eccentric make-up inspired by the pure colours of the prints in the collection, defined the storytelling of the project, thus presenting a collection that is unique in every way.

THE AESTHETIC PROJECT : ALCHÈTIPO

ALCHÈTIPO by Andrea Alchieri is a mutable aesthetic project of enrichments that gives life to genderless seasonless capsules; a conscious choice by designer Andrea Alchieri to emphasise the character of his personal project. It was born from the union of two distinct but complementary elements: “Alchemy”, which represents the process of transformation and creation, and “Alchieri”, which conveys Italian tradition and elegance.

Andrea Alchieri was born in Milan and since childhood has had a strong passion for painting and creative design cultivated by his family, who passed on to him a dedication to art and beauty in all its forms.

He has always been fascinated by how a collection can act as a communicative medium, evoking different emotions or moods to the eyes of different people.

He identifies himself as a foolish designer, with a taste for imperfection, a contaminated and apparently confusing fashion, in which all his passions and obsessions are clearly readable, including his fantastic stories and melancholic settings.
