GR10K SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 at Milan Fashion Week entitled Nine Pounds Of Dead Landscape
GR10K will preview its Spring Summer 2025 / SS25 collection “Nine Pounds of Death Landscape” on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week with a specially conceived performance titled “Stringent Manners”.
GR10K is a brand founded by Anna Grassi, platforming a personal biographical involvement with military and protective garments into a forward looking and divergent fashion outcome.
GR10K stems from a counter-intuitive involvement with fashion and its social waves, conceiving applied arts and garments as a natural evolution of a cultural milieu.
GR10K SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 Collection
Any production for an at-large audience is a production for no audience at all. GR10K has been radically attached to a seasonal offering avoiding mass mitigation and presenting explicit cultural proposals, bridging youth unspecified and raw need of revolt with a critique of contemporary outposts. The brand introduces GR10K SS25 as a wide reflection on Field-ware: capitalizing on remote and not en-vogue rural garments as a direct confrontation with contemporary institutions and patterns, using nature as a decorative concept and exploiting its study as a viable aesthetical commodity, generally layering consumer-goods into a peaceful layout of picturesque matter. Nine Pounds of Dead Landscape is a chaotic and unsafe conglomerate of ideas and design-concepts aimed at a rough reading of un-spoken constructs.
There are lesser things as dirty as a natural landscape, a vast field to scan. The GR10K collection was designed watching hours of backstage footage from field recording director James Benning’s movies, statically depicting factories, taxidermy and anti-horizons. SS25 addresses the consequences of progressive advanced technology production and its ghosting protocol over natural landscapes. A fashion offering that merges standard items, collected together with stand-alone pieces and collection sub-layers. The process result is a material translation of an unrestrained desire to cypher the deadly shades of near to death flowers.
Rural garments have been re-positioned using materials such as paper-touch poplin, hyper-light fragile membrane three-layer materials, texturized technical jerseys fabrics, peach-skin fleeces. Knitwear—one of the oldest and most humble outer layers—is interpreted with high-density cotton waffle knits and cotton woven together with UHMWPE yarn, made with fibers of high abrasion resistance and inertness. Mud-proof and waterproof, duster coats as a reflection on how half a century of technology is still clashing against1950s shapes. Wax cotton as a substitute for fake performance gear, apt for uninhabited rural landscapes, lightened with bi-stretch material. Materials traditionally used for technical high-speed dinghies laser-cut into vests and utility belts. Light and performative microfibre LYCRA® jersey, ultrasound and bonded technology used to ground GR10K’s resolution to create the first tailored uniforms, seamlessly fluid and digitally crafted in appearance.
Volumes, emancipated from all-gear wear to more articulated or classic styles, culminating in the formal blazer of the melancholic musician.
For Spring Summer 2025 / SS25 collection will feature GR10K’s first eyewear products, developed in partnership with Factory 900. Founded in Fukui, a city known for housing 95% of Japan’s “made-in-Japan” frame producers, Factory 900 has specialized in manufacturing plastic frames for over 80 years across three generations. This collaboration represents a blend of artisanal craftsmanship and advanced technology. The eyewear pieces will be available in 2 shapes and 2 colorways, combining performance-ready ergonomics with classical silhouettes.
To expand perspectives beyond strict metropolitan tropes, GR10K collaborated with DEEP, an ecological organization working towards developing radical ecology infrastructures, to create a suite of bespoke equipment for ongoing fieldwork missions.
GR10K’s interest and involvement in art have been a consistent inquiry that has defined the brand since its inception, focusing on artists and production outside the standardized art market and status quo. The brand partnered with visual artist Matilde Solbiati, known for her relentless exploration of imagery. Using avant-garde collage and photographic distortion techniques, she transforms public figurative repositories into divergent portraits and identities. A set of 4 scarves titled ‘Rural Scanning’ and limited edition cameo pins are the’result of her work on standardizing picturesque details and revisiting outdated natural representations.
GR10K REPLICATED
GR10K includes a re-launch of its original set of garments in the collection, founding values re-set as a functional format based on three staple and cross-seasonal pieces. All designs are intentionally genderless, appealing to a wide target of age and type. Replicated serves as a platform for collaboration and non profit projects. The re-purposing of an archaic set of pieces is a new starting point, and a channel for GR10K to address issues such as design voids, outdated values, and the boredom of constant adaptation. Replicated is a non-designed set of pieces, autonomous of trend, collection mood and season. Replicating the initial 0 collection that was the foundation of GR10K.

GR10K Spring Summer 2025 Presentation
GR10K will present SS25 with its first live presentation titled “Stringent Manners,” a reflection on experimental music and the political spirit that spearheaded post-war contemporary composition. A 4 hour tuning session of string instruments that will follow no rule of engagement other than dissonance.

The performance showcasing the SS25 collection will take place on June 14th at Auditorium San Fedele, a prestigious and technologically advanced space known for its extensive annual program, featuring new projects from the most representative artists in the field of international electronic experimentation.
