LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 at Paris Men’s Fashion Week
Carnality and basic human instincts such as desire, violence, sensuality, and touch triggered my journey this season. Starting from smell, the most imaginary of senses, I created a fantasy, a pure effort of the imagination in which bodies and skin are central, without actually showing much skin. An archetype wardrobe is questioned by sensuous materials bearing invitation to touch, to get close and catch the smell of the man wearing the clothes: waxed leather, greasy denim, black jacquard linen resembling hair. A creator of beauty and desire through perfume, this man is also cold and detached. His violence is caught in signs: our signature slit becoming a decisive vertical cut, much like a Fontana gesture, at once erotic and scary; the sharp juxtaposition of bone white, black and oxblood. In the end, the focus on body and flesh is a way to depict the human beast as it fights primeval instincts and embraces civilization. Beauty is the ultimate savior, or probably the last hope, which, I believe, is why we are all attracted to it.
PUMA X LGN
I synthesized the essence of the iconic Mostro shoes into a radical mule design using a single material, transforming it into both a design object and a comfortable sneaker.
LGN X ECCO.KOLLEKTIVE
The LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi SS25 collection features a collaboration alongside ECCO. Kollektive, of footwear, bags, and ready-to-wear. Leather becomes an extension of the skin, showcasing sensuality through an innovative, saturated wax treatment. This technique used allows for the ready-to-wear pieces to stretch as it is applied to a transparent jersey base. The bags embrace the iconic shape of underwear known from LGN, while the shoes feature a more radical and brutalist construction applied to classic formal shapes.
LGN X SASHA FERRÉ X ALMINE RECH
This is my first ever collaboration with a visual artist. Sasha Ferré and I worked on creating an entirely new and exclusive Jacquard fabric. Inspired by her extraordinary paintings and unique gestures, and combined with the signature tailoring of LGN we will produce a limited edition of highly sensual pieces that I’m excited to share with Fashion and Art lovers.
