CFCL and ASICS Collaboration release on New Colors for the Second Series of Knit Upper Sneakers with the Lowest GHG Emissions to be Released on June 24th, 2024.

CFCL and ASICS Collaboration second series of “GEL-LYTE III CM 1.95” sneakers, launched last October in collaboration with ASICS, will be available at CFCL direct stores and official online store on Monday, June 24th. In addition to the continuing “BLACK” color from the first series, this collection introduces two new shades: the chic and sophisticated “DARK SHADOW” and the bright and nude tone “PINK TINT.”

The “GEL-LYTE III CM 1.95” is characterized by its exceptionally lightweight and comfortable fit, and its design is achieved by minimizing the parts that make up the overall structure to the minimum necessary for function and design. Additionally, a detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was conducted on all processes from material procurement to disposal, including not only the sneaker itself but also the packaging box. This ensures that the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are minimized, with a carbon footprint of only “1.95 kg/CO2-e”*1.

Based on the iconic ASICS SportStyle “GEL-LYTE III OG,” this collaboration aims to achieve the world’s lowest GHG emissions*2 . Throughout this endeavor, to ensure and enhance the design quality, we engaged in co-creation efforts through repeated dialogue regarding the direction of materials, knit density, and selection of parts. The addition of CFCL’s stylish coloring to ASICS’s technology, which has proven its high quality and functionality, creates a sneaker that combines quality and design with a sophisticated taste that is suitable for modern urban life.
