Rabens Saloner Spring Summer 2025 / SS25 at Copenhagen Fashion Week
A wardrobe should be like a list of the best ingredients: a selection of options that stand alone but work even better when mixed up in countless creative and personal ways. This concept of versatility and individuality is key to Rabens Saloner’s SS25 collection with pieces that can be combined and adapted to be as practical or chic or sexy as the wearer desires.
Casual is mixed with elegant, utility with femininity, and party with prosaic whilst garments themselves can be reshaped and reworked to reflect different times or moods. It’s a rich and exciting mix.
The colour palette of Rabens Saloner Spring Summer 2025 / SS25 shows a welcome return to the positivity of brighter shades. Flamingo pink, mandarin and violet are upbeat accents to softer shades of warm mint, lemon sherbet and oyster whilst indigo, white and silver offer moments of calm. Signature tie-dyes as always give the perfect opportunity for delicious combinations: serpentine swirls twist around the body on a graphic kaftan whilst random explosions of colour burst across a bias cut skirt with high split.
The play between dressed up and sporty once again proves that it’s a woman’s choice to be elegant yet relaxed. A heavy-weight technical fabric has locker-room ease in a flared top with a boxer short-inspired gathering but also sophistication in an open back slinky dress. A utility vest in the same fabric throws an element of workwear into the mix for an eclectic yet cohesive look. Similarly, denim need not only be workwear: a pencil skirt and bib-front shirt elevate a humble fabric and a patchwork kimono-style coat brings a sense of unexpected chic. Furthermore, throughout Rabens Saloner Spring Summer 2025 collection, pieces can be adapted to suit circumstance, occasion or just whim: drawcords pull a one-shoulder top into different shapes, a multi-striped tie front dress can be worn in multiple ways and straps on jersey dress pulled into many directions. Elsewhere a belt radically changes the vibe of a loose fit dress and buttons on a long leopard print skirt can be undone to show more or less skin.
Of course it is the mix of clothes where a woman can really express her personality and here too Rabens Saloner likes to offer suggestions but not directives. On Rabens Saloner SS25, An oversized grey melange sweatshirt gives an urban edge to a skirt that shimmers with outsized moon-grey paillettes whilst a pale pink clipped jacquard cardigan gives a feather like flurry above knee-length denim board shorts and a lace skirt surprises with a lining that resembles boxers. Finishes touches – if you desire – could be patent leather buckled heels or a basket weave leather tote, but at the end of the day, it is a woman’s choice to wear what she wants, when she wants and how she wants. That should always be remembered and celebrated.
