Freedom made of precious silk shantung light like a puff of air, made of knitwear – the ever-present charm of Luisa Spagnoli’s almost century-old savoir-faire in knitwear – and chiffon, lace, almost impalpable gauze and jersey with the finest knit, elegant raffia.
A tonal scale of colors: it begins with black and shifts to the depths of ultramarine blue, then meadow green and pill green, over to aqua and pink, fuchsia, golden yellow and orange until it eventually cools down to the clarity of white. An impressionist painter’s palette, passionate and penetrating.
Who is the woman who walks the catwalk of the Luisa Spagnoli Spring/Summer 2025 collection? She projects herself into the present, creative and free. In the awareness that it is not the clothes that change the world, but the woman who wear them.
The freedom of combinations: the joie de vivre of the oversized, white, very soft shirts, with the raffia skirt; the intricately finished buttons of the jackets with 1970s references, the loose, slightly masculine cardigans and the equally comfortable trousers (also flared), the black linen box jacket. “Joy of life” means lightness: the lightness of the Sahara jacket rather than balloon-shaped shantung; the impalpable gauze tunics (it is a tactile collection, made to be touched). The common thread of the color brown – warm and inviting, chocolatey in the sweet depths of comfort, the brown of wood, natural and real – returns through the clothes accessorized with horn jewelry, an ethnic trait that joyfully tears the fabric of bon ton.
The inimitable talent of Italian manufacturing shines through in the interweaving of accessories – the very soft belts, the shoes – in the tonal shifts of juxtapositions: with the décalage of the shoes, high or low, in the serene harmony of the proportions.
