CFCL Spring/Summer 2025 at Paris Fashion Week

CFCL Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 at Paris Fashion Week entitled VOL.9 Collection on Monday, September 23rd, the first day of the Womenswear Spring/Summer 2025 Paris Fashion Week

CFCL presented its second runway show since joining the official calendar in 2022, at the Saut du Loup in the Palais de Tokyo. The runway, colored in a gradation of vitamin orange, echoed with ethnic and contemporary sounds performed by the Slovenian trio Å irom. A rich variety of items intersected two-dimensional and three-dimensional, traditional methods and cutting-edge technology, expressing a vision of clothing that seamlessly connects with the world to come.

COLLECTION THEME of CFCL SS25 / Spring/Summer 2025 is KNIT-WARE – HANDBUILT.

Flat knitted fabric with negative space, dyed colors with depth, unique contours created by bricolage… CFCL combines 3D computer knitting techniques with human handwork that has been handed down from generation to generation in countries and regions all over the world, creating clothing that is essential for a fulfilling life. We explore the possibilities of Knit-ware, just as we shape pottery by hand. This is the categories of CFCL Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 collection:

FLAT – CREASE, Inspired by the flat ethnic costumes of Africa and the Silk Road countries from a broad perspective, the dresses are created into 2D seamless knitwear using 3D computer programming technique. The programming made a partially joined hem, and the stretchy knit is then passed through the human body to form a comfortable fit and beautiful drape. LOOK #6, 9, 11

DYEING – CHUSEN, Japanese silk dresses and two-piece sets are dyed with bold psychedelic motifs. Inspired by the traditional Japanese dyeing technique “CHUSEN,” the dye is poured in stripes under the control of the craftsman onto the randomly folded product or parts, and a kaleidoscopic pattern is created by chance. KNIKAT, Inspired by “Ikat,” which is widely used in Southeast Asia to create patterns by weaving dyed yarn, recycled polyester yarn is dyed differently and knitted into the iconic POTTERY and LATTICE series. The primary-colored yarns produce vibrancy and blurred borders unique to synthetic fibers, as well as depth of color through a complex knit structure. LOOK #29, 30, 33, 34

HANDWORK – FRINGE, The recycled polyester dress is programmed with small holes, and pieces of the same knit material in strips are hand-threaded through the holes, which result in 2320 fringes attached to the dress. The dress is made of mono-material and has both a gorgeous look and an easy-care practicality. LOOK #29, 30, 33, 36, 37, 38

CROCHET PATCHWORK, The crochet patchwork knit dress with organic motifs are created by moving away from computer programming and searching for free forms with stick needles without the use of a machine. The braid is made of transparent nylon film and used as a slit yarn. The act of imagining the finished form piece by piece, while moving the hands like bricolage, shows the infinite possibilities of creativity by “human hands” as well as the technological development of computer programming.
