Stone Island FW25 at Milan Men’s Fashion Week

Stone Island FW25 / Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 at Milan Men’s Fashion Week

For this Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 / FW25 Stone Island takes its inspiration from Japan, where design is an indispensable part of the landscape, from its otherworldly nature to its neon-lit megacities, a place where past and present coexist, where equal respect is paid to art and craft, to the industrial and the handmade. Exploring these rich dichotomies of heritage and innovation allows for a careful study of harmonies and contradictions that result in forward thinking outcomes.

Among the results of these design meditations, filtered through the Stone Island lens, are a proprietary dyeing method inspired by traditional indigo dyeing, as well as continuous experiments with other Stone Island techniques, such as “colour collision” and “reverse colour process.” Every aspect of the collection has been carefully considered, including an evolution of the corduroy selection, as well as graphic t-shirts, that feature prints based on corrosion technique and sashiko stitching, and a new interpretation of the iconic Ice Jacket.

In Stone Island FW25 / Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 collection, Stone Island continues its material research with a capsule titled Raw Beauty, made from fabric scraps from the Stone Island production chain that are shredded and rewoven. In these capsule garments are imbued with references to Stone Island’s extensive archive.

Meanwhile, STONE ISLAND GHOST capsule welcomes DAVID-TC, an iconic Stone Island fabric, MARINA progresses with the introduction of a contemporary, high-tech ribbed reflective silver badge, and STELLINA continues exploration of minimalist, modular dressing. In footwear, a collection in collaboration with DIEMME, the Italian heritage hiking company, as well as a newly expanded range of bags and accessories in reflective knit and CORDURA®.

The seasonal colour palette of Stone Island FW25 opens with vibrant acid greens and rich plums juxtaposed against neutral shades and crisp whites. Dark monochromes are punctuated by pinks and reds, followed by earthy tones.

KEY GARMENTS OF STONE ISLAND FW25

TRANSLUCENT COVER This two layer jacket, in which the new and the old traditions of functionality complement each other, consists of a garment dyed, removable translucent polyurethane shell, lined with cotton moleskin layer that features reflective taped seams.

RIPSTOP CORDURA® Continuing Stone Island’s experimentations with super durable technical fabrics, the ripstop CORDURA® fabric is a high tenacity, shiny nylon that provides the base for a zippered hooded jacket. The garment features contrasting panelling and an exoskeleton formed by high resistance polyester tape that mirrors the invisible structure of the garment.

JAPANESE BLUE CORROSION / CORRODED NYLON For the first time in the history of the brand colour corrosion treatment is performed on nylon. A nylon jacket featuring multi-axial quilting is object dyed first, and then some colour is stripped through a combination of physical and chemical processes, resulting in an uneven colour tone inspired by traditional Japanese hand-dyed indigo technique. This process renders each piece unique and unrepeatable. The contrasting fabrics of the jacket emphasize the complex nature of the garment dyeing and the colour corrosion processes.

UNEVEN RIPSTOP PRISMATICO A hooded jacket in ripstop cotton covered with a super thin shiny polyurethane film draws inspiration from Stone Island’s classic fabric treatment, Reverse Colour Process, wherein a garment object dyed black colour undergoes a corrosion treatment that changes its hue to a deep, dark red. The jacket features wool PrimaLoft® detachable padded lining for extra insulation.

COLOUR COLLISION KNITWEAR A five-gauge cotton knit ribbed cardigan is manually sprayed at different angles with two different dye tones. The result is a marriage between technical precision and artisanal imperfection, in which continuous colour contrast undulates depending on the light and viewing angle.

ICE JACKET The iconic Ice Jacket, first introduced in 1989, continues its evolution that tracks continues progress in material development. In this collection it is reincarnated in a two-layer thermo-sensitive fabric. This season’s style also features a removable garment dyed fleece balaclava and removable fingerless gloves.

RAW BEAUTY Undyed, recycled, washed gabardine recreated from castoff materials and indirectly inspired by raw denim is reimagined as an anorak. Cast metal buttons provide the minimal yet impactful details, with rubber covered buttonhole on the hood that continues the brand’s reference to its own rich archive. An additional inside high-neck hood in recycled cotton jersey functions as an extra layer of protection.

RECURRING SUB-COLLECTIONS

STONE ISLAND GHOST The brand continues its development of the GHOST capsule collection of elevated and subtle garments, in which the badge colour matches the garment colour. For this season, the colour palette, loosely inspired by Japanese brutalist architecture, progresses between shades of black, brown, dark blue, and grey. The President’s knit, a Stone Island classic, is reinterpreted in high grade cashmere for an ultra-luxury feel, while an officer’s coat features detachable cord system lining. In addition to natural materials that comprise the core of the capsule, the iconic DAVID-TC fabric makes its GHOST debut.

STONE ISLAND MARINA Submarine factories serve as an inspiration for MARINA, with garments marrying traditional and technical materials. A hooded anorak shell in bright red features fully taped seams. A wool jacket is bonded to a layer of performance polyester, and features a scuba collar and detachable scuba hood. A down-filled puffer made of cotton-nylon mix features an aluminium buckle belt based on military safety vests. MARINA continues the brand’s experiments with conventions, turning a knit hooded jacket into an outerwear piece by heat-bonding a coated wool outer to an inner layer of cotton jersey.

STONE ISLAND STELLINA With this collection, the brand continues to explore a minimalist and modular system of performance dressing, this time as an intimate conversation between city and nature. Once again garments made of GORE-TEX® continue to provide the outer core of the collection, while skin-touch, lightly padded pieces provide an under layer connected with a press button system. Knitwear pieces with PrimaLoft® Insulation serve as an additional layering option or can stand on their own. The colour palette is inspired by the hues of a forest, in a variety of greens, greys, and beiges.
