Julie de Libran SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 Couture at Paris Fashion Week Couture

Nothing is literal in this collection, which blends a fantasised medieval elegance with a thoroughly contemporary sophistication. Raw cuts challenge cashmere and llama, giving the pieces a look that is both rugged and refined, like reimagined knightly undergarments. Shades of iced brown, copper, navy blue, and bronze dominate the palette, evoking this medieval dream.

Details of Julie de Libran SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 Couture, Metallic effects emerge through lurex tweeds and panne velvet, adding a subtle shine to the silhouettes of my amazons. Chains, omnipresent in the collection, emphasise their warrior-like allure. Whether adorning coats with oversized hoods or used as belt-like jewellery worn as a vest, chains appear on numerous silhouettes. The same is true of aged, gilded brass jewellery, proudly worn at all levels or directly embroidered onto garments like breastplates. Adding a more unexpected element to this medieval tableau, lace also embraces the armour aesthetic on a bare back, while a feather boa is reinvented as a bolero over coats. These touches bring opulence and mystery to this woman who ultimately belongs to no era but a time of her own.

We are honoured to have our friend Lila Dupont perform for the first time in Paris at the Couture Presentation. This show is dedicated to my friend and Icon, Dayle Haddon, always with us…
