Y-3 FW25 at Paris Men’s Fashion Week

Y-3 FW25 / Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 at Paris Men’s Fashion Week

Where does one become another? Throughout its existence, Y-3 has explored the threshold between polarities. Light and dark. Analog and digital. Real and surreal. adidas into Yohji Yamamoto: the brand’s very inception ushered in a new era when sport and fashion came together in harmonious coalescence, again representing another threshold.

Informed by the symbiotic divergence between performance innovation and creative expression, Y-3 presents its vision for Y-3 Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 / FW25: a polyphonic collision of sport, considered technique, and evocative graphic treatments.

With Pavillon Cambon in Paris as the presentation’s structural backdrop, this season, models revealed the collection on a runway with an immersive L.E.D screen at its center, reminiscent of sporting stadiums, and equally those screens that invade our lives at every moment. In a fitting climax, the L.E.D screen that gave the show its form ascended vertically to resemble a surreal sporting jumbotron, eventually shrouding the room in adidas’ signature stripes.

The collection itself features striking silhouettes, subverted through the lens of functional sporting equipment designed to protect the body– expressed through knee padded pants, padded sleeves as well as insulated t-shirts, hoodies, and bags. Meanwhile form takes centre stage as cinching carefully controls the space between the body and the drape of the garments.

A consistent motif of experimentation, Y-3 FW25 / Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 sees a contortion of adidas’ Three Stripes, as malleable wired appendages, allowing the wearer to twist and control the iconic branding – creating something altogether new with each wear. The artworks of the collection are inspired by the Japanese ink techniques of Suibokuga, emulating fossilized amber – capturing and externalizing artifacts over ions.

Y-3’s countered take on footwear is expressed by difference, spanning performance running styles, GSG9 adidas combat boots, and archival reclamations – parsed through the lens of the seasonal direction.

Unveiled as part of the FW25 presentation, a special collaboration between Y-3 and the status-quo defying Japanese brand, NEIGHBORHOOD, tells a story of how culture adopts the iconography of moto-sport. Dubbed ‘Y-3-N’, each piece celebrates the codes of speed with custom artwork from Death Spray Custom and protective leather apparel crafted in partnership with Italian racing company Dainese. As the presentation unfurled, show specific racing suits and custom 1 of 1 moto helmets punctuated its rhythm.

Iconic figures from sport and culture helped unveil the collection to the world as model Gabbriette, basketball legend Candace Parker, skater Marcos Montoya, and trailblazing footballer Djibril Cissé walked the Y-3 Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 show.
