Alectra Rothschild Masculine FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 at Copenhagen Fashion Week
Alectra Rothschild Masculine FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 collection seeks to visualize the emotional landscapes of wanting autonomy over ones body. But more so it explores the vastness of the traumatized body. The scars and bruises from mental and physical abuse that we as trans people face daily. The dresses are shredded and falling off the body showing that we are constantly battling the world around us for just existing. The custom latex are full of the blood that gushes from our wounds. We want vengeance. The coats are strong and protective from the world but also serves as anonymity – as assassins we Will get an eye for an eye. The color story of the collection explores the ideas of guns.. silver, gun metal, black.
The majority of Alectra Rothschild Masculine Fall/Winter 2025 collection is upcycled and made from deadstock materials. This season many are made using TENCEL TM*, fibers derived from wood sourced from responsibly managed forests and produced in a resource efficient closed-loop process, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to sustainability. Key pieces include a tailored trench coat, accented by flowing panels that cascade with effortless grace, and fluid liquid-like dresses crafted from translucent jersey, offering a soft, almost weighless drape (*trademark of Lenzing AG). All fur and leather is upcycled and in collaboration with Mikkel Schou.
RUNWAY SHOW of Alectra Rothschild Masculine FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025, Kristian Kirk, Creative Director (inter.agcy): “We’re creating a platform and spotlighting performance acts and movements. The spatial design and set design is based on lighting, blending elements of club culture with brutalist aesthetics; shadows stretch into infinity, while the platform becomes strikingly overexposed at key moments, amplifying the impact of each performance and the collection presented on the runway”.
Once again dj g2g collaborated with me on creating the soundtrack which explores rage. It’s hard, deconstructed and a madhouse. With screams by the ever talented Jada. Styling is done in collaboration with my dear friend Anna Gunvor Hyttel and explores deconstruction and amplifying the distressed mood of the collection.
The opening act of the show is performed and written in collaboration with Cassie Augusta Jørgensen also addressing the rage from existing as a transperson. We have referenced queer and trans icons like Divine The Drag Queen and Octavia Saint Laurent. The Jewellery is created by Azad Jewels and is his latest offering for his brand. Killjoynails created custom nails in the shape of bullets for the show.
