The Garment Fall/Winter 2025 / FW25 at Copenhagen Fashion Week entitled a modernist reverie

The Garment unveils its FW25 collection, modernist attire, a love letter to chandigarh, india’s architectural anomaly and a masterpiece of modernism. This collection draws deeply from the city’s minimalist grandeur, conceived by Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret-a visionary duo who wove modernist ideals into the very fabric of architecture and furniture design. Their use of raw materials like bamboo, teak, and wicker served as an ode to craft, blending functionality with elegance.

At the heart of The Garment Fall/Winter 2025 collection lies the spirit of mid-century modernism. Clean lines, organic forms, and a minimalist aesthetic define the designs. Each garment radiates sophistication while celebrating practicality, natural materials such as wool, leather, and cotton bring warmth and texture, while the color palette-a refined mix of tan, craft, acorn, butter, wine, and crisp white-evokes timeless elegance. The silhouettes embody a harmonious blend of masculine strength and feminine grace fine yarn mini sweaters and tailored jackets in supple goat suede are elevated with delicate chest pockets, reflecting a meticulous attention to detail the result is a sleek yet soft collection designed for movement, ease, and enduring style.

For this unveiling, Charlotte Eskildsen sought a venue that resonates with the collection’s core philosophy: Nicolai Kunsthala space steeped in modernist ideals, it serves as the perfect stage for this architectural-inspired line. The runway is graced by 220 iconic Arne Jacobsen Syver Chairs, a tribute to mid-century furniture design, and sculptures created exclusively for the garment by contemporary artist Josefine Winding. “Josefine’s work empowers me as a woman, Eskildsen shares. “Her art is both powerful and delicate-a reminder of the strength and vulnerability that coexist in all of us.

The Garment FW25 is more than a collection, it’s an immersive exploration of craftsmanship, design, and the enduring beauty of modernist simplicity. With this release, Eskildsen invites us to embrace a world where architecture and fashion intertwine, creating a bold yet refined vision for the modern wardrobe.
