CFCL Fall/Winter 2025 / FW25 at Paris Fashion Week Presents VOL.10 Collection

On Monday, March 3rd, the first day of the Fall/Winter 2025 Women’s Paris Fashion Week, CFCL presented a runway show at IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique), adjacent to the Centre Pompidou.

Celebrating the 10th season since its debut collection, the brand once again turned to its origins and the creativity that only computer programming-aided knitwear can provide. Sound artist Miyu Hosoi traced the manufacturing process of CFCL garments, sampling the sounds and reconstructing them into a mechanical and rhythmic musical piece that rang out on the runway, creating a three-dimensional listening experience. With new perspectives born from an exploration of the production background, energetic colors and graphical outlines expressed the possibilities of knitwear.

The theme of CFCL FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 Is Knit-ware. CFCL’s knitwear is created through the intertwining loops of a single, flexible thread, capturing the essence of the times to create clothing for contemporary life. The VOL.10 collection takes inspiration from social anthropologist Tim Ingold’s book LINES: A Brief History, reflecting on the brand’s origins and reimagining the trial-and-error process of creating clothing solely through knitwear as ‘lines.’ These lines, curving, folding, and gradually expanding, illustrate the trajectory of CFCL’s continuous exploration. By reinterpreting the ancient craft of spinning and knitting threads, rooted in human evolution, through the lens of modern technology and sensibilities, CFCL tells the story of ‘Knit-ware’—an expression of free, bold lines that shape a new era.

CURVED LINES – MILAN ROUND, The first look features a graphically padded blouson with a flat-pattern outline framed in red. Inspired by the industrial design of the 80’s, it is knit in 100% recycled polyester with a Milan ribbed structure. Other items in the series feature royal blue curved lines, representing the transition of CFCL as a line, and reflect key themes of the collection. LOOK #1, 2, 3, 4, 5

SPREAD LINES – HERRINGBONE, The bold herringbone pattern is created using thick count recycled polyester and wool. The zigzag graphic is precisely programmed to aline with the seamless darts to harmony with the three-dimensional silhouette of the POTTERY series. LOOK #6, 7

ACCORDION, Shape-shifting pleats express the gradual widening of each line, created using a special technique unique to computer programming-aided knitwear. The convex parts are red, and a slit is incorporated in the horizontal step between the pleats, which are folded in reverse to create a structured texture. *100% recycled polyester LOOK #8, 9, 10

CONIC, This series showcases bold stripes that spread dramatically toward the hem (or top) in vibrant pink and red. The front and back of the flared dress are each knitted in a continuous fan shape, using the maximum knitting width that can be mass-produced on a knitting machine. *100% recycled polyester LOOK #11, 12

CYLINDER – METALLIC TUBE, This dress and top are designed and developed from a “tube,” the basic structure of seamless knitwear. The unique structure knitted with black monofilament (100% recycled polyester) and gold metallic yarn creates a transparent, textured concave and convex effect. The finale concludes with a minimal dress that returns to CFCL’s origins in the pursuit of yarn properties and knit structures. LOOK #36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41
