Balmain Fall/Winter 2025 / FW25 at Paris Fashion Week

Balmain FW25/ Fall/Winter 2025 collection marks a significant turning point in the Balmain story, ushering in a new era for the iconic fashion house. After 14 years of growth, Rousteing reflects on the resilience and dedication that have shaped his journey. This collection is not just another season, but the first chapter of a bold new book about the future of Balmain. With an unwavering commitment to truth and consistency, Rousteing introduces a refreshed vision of confidence, opulence, and seduction, honoring both the house’s rich history and his own evolution as a designer.

Balmain FW25/ Fall/Winter 2025 collection centers around the concept of the “Balmain explorer”—a woman on a path of self-discovery. She embodies the same audacity and sensuality that Balmain is known for but approaches it with a more refined and soft expression. Drawing inspiration from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’80s, Rousteing fuses vintage Balmain aesthetics with a modern edge, bringing together protective, cocooning silhouettes with animal prints and crocodile textures. This juxtaposition creates a beautiful tension, as the collection merges African influences with Parisian chic, delivering a strikingly contemporary take on luxury.

Details of Balmain FW25/ Fall/Winter 2025 with a focus on versatility and comfort, the Balmain woman dresses in uniforms that seamlessly combine functionality and fashion. Rousteing’s design language includes peacoat jackets with protective collars, parkas, and pants equipped with utilitarian pockets. Cashmere and mohair provide a tactile softness, while leather and armor-like garments bring a fierce attitude to the collection. The color palette is a dynamic mix of timeless greys, navy blues, and pops of yellow, lilac, sage, and mustard—accentuating the tactile allure of shearling and further enhancing the collection’s sensory experience. Accessories and footwear play a key role in elevating this collection, with bags like the Anthem, Sync, and Shuffle capturing attention through unique textures and innovative designs. Rousteing’s bold jewelry choices, including bamboo and horn-effect earrings, and the sculptural shoes built on a new wedge that shifts based on the viewer’s perspective, further exemplify the spirit of reinvention. The entire collection speaks to a woman who is daring, confident, and on a journey of endless exploration—a perfect reflection of the evolving Balmain legacy.

About Balmain, More than 75 years ago, when Pierre Balmain first introduced his “New French Style,” it immediately became clear to all that his eponymous house was offering a distinctly fresh, bold, and feminine conception of haute couture, one which broke with many of the well-established conventions of the era. His audaciousness paid off. Pierre Balmain became one of the handful of young French talents who ushered in the mid-century golden age of couture and helped to re-establish Paris as the world’s fashion capital. Since 2011, Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing has been inventively building upon Pierre Balmain’s extraordinary legacy, while always remaining true to his own determination to design clothes that reflect the way his inclusive, powerful, and global Balmain Army wishes to live today. The result is a unique and instantly recognizable Balmain silhouette, style and attitude that highlights the singular craftsmanship of the house’s celebrated ateliers, while consistently referencing a rich Parisian heritage.
