Giambattista Valli Fall/Winter 2025 at Paris Fashion Week

Giambattista Valli Fall/Winter 2025 / FW25 at Paris Fashion Week presents ready-to-wear collection.

Dedicated to the comfort of the reality of women—those who live and breathe their truth in self-determined way. A kaleidoscopic narrative of ease and sophistication that speaks to those who embrace the harmony between elegance and freedom.

The silhouette is fluid yet sharp. Running subtly through the threads of the fabrics is a reminiscence of the late ’60s liberation movements—a quiet yet firm assertion of fundamental liberties. This is a wardrobe for a soul who moves through life with a cultural awareness that is effortlessly woven into style, exuding an innate sense of feminine energy that stems from the Valli ethos but is interpreted through a deeply personal lens.

Mr. Valli continues his pursuit of a lifestyle centered around beauty and “bien-être,” refining a modern sense of new bohème, that finds its strength in harmony—the art of presenting oneself in a way that is unconventional yet deeply cohesive, where freedom of expression is aligned with a conscious and deliberate aesthetic.

The Valli woman always belongs to a habitat—her space is as much a part of her identity as the clothes she wears. She moves through a curated world, where textures, colors, and objects echo her sensibility. This season, Mr. Valli’s muses—Donyale Luna, Elsa Peretti and Marina Schiano—bring an air of fearless intellect, each embodying a different facet of independence and artistic spirit. From Luna’s revolutionary presence in fashion to Peretti’s sculptural elegance, or Schiano’s prismatic style, they form the pillars of a wardrobe that suggests a liberated mind.

Giambattista Valli FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 show debuts with cocooning, body-hugging, ivory and pastel yarn bouclés, a study in the complexity of simplicity. Bias-cut, tailored and precise, these pieces wrap around the body with a sculptural ease, at times embroidered with “tapisserie” poppy flowers. The feminine lightness of Chantilly lace and lurex lace-encrusted silk organza brings an ethereal contrast, while compact jerseys replace classic gabardines in structured day cabans and flared pant ensembles.

As the collection evolves, textural complexity heightens—tens of thousands multicoloured wool rovings are hand-embroidered onto coats, creating a fur-like effect that is both opulent, tactile and easygoing. Buttoned and sequined yarn bouclés recalls the rustic luxury of heirloom bed covers. The sharp sophistication of tuxedo-inspired floor-length vest and pant ensembles meets the evening charm of bias-cut black and gold striped sequins.

The taste of the bohème comes alive in “broom flower” prints on silk georgette and flowing jerseys, their palette spanning blush, poudre, chocolate, periwinkle, peridot green, rust, rouge noir, rosebud, and dark gold—a masterclass in Valli’s draping expertise. The nomadic essence of the collection is revealed in the richness of prints and jacquards: graphic “ikat” motifs, “paisley field” prints, intricate “flower screen” embroideries on black sequins and tulle, and “chimera shawl” embroideries like stories woven into fabric. A visual crescendo of textures designed to please not only the eye but also the touch.

Accessories further shape the narrative. For footwear, the “French Kiss” satin or nappa flats and thigh-high or knee-high boots speak the the modern craftsmanship of Italian industrial shoemaking while the “Nappa Bow” PVC slippers add a flirtatious touch. The Maison’s seductive maxi and mini “AirBags” return in full force and in full colour, alongside the new hand-interlaced leather “Valli Weave” buckets and mini-baskets.

An invitation to live beautifully, to inhabit one’s femininity without constraints, and to build one’s own narrative of elegance and liberation. More than fashion, a way of being.
