Reverie by CAROLINE HÚ Fall/Winter 2025 / FW25 at Paris Fashion Week entitled DAYDREAM

For Reverie by CAROLINE HÚ FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 season, Caroline Hú feels that the crueler the world that the more we need to embrace romance. As the world continues to go through changes and her own life also going through countless changes, she feels as though everything is bound by invisible strings. And yet, she still holds on to the hope that unexpected beauty and surprises will unfold. What moved her the most is the simple aspects of life: running barefoot across a field, feeling her hair blown by the wind, the warmth of the sun on her skin, and flowers blooming in quiet brilliance. It is easy to become entangled in the identities we carry; being a daughter, a wife, a student, a designer.…. Layer upon layer, these roles weights upon us like invisible chains. However, in the depths of Hú’s heart, she feels that there is always a space that is left untouched and reserved for the possibilities to spark something new.

This season is about a crafted dreamscape that includes both sweet dreams and some nightmares. Hú uses highly saturated blue-green tones to create a contrast in color and flowers as that lingering wish within – a symbol of resilience and renewal and the courage to start anew, no matter how many layers of life have already been painted. As in past seasons, Hú created several bright colored oil painting resulting gradual distortion that is both romantic and colorful, which are then transferred into the textiles used in the collection.

Volume and texture has always been part of Hú’s silhouette vocabulary, but for this FW25 season, in addition to the ballon and cocoon-like shapes with various overlay techniques, she continuous overlay of different techniques and crafts aim to create abstract visual colors that captivate the eye.

Reverie by CAROLINE HÚ FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025, she created hand-made padded flowers made of silk ribbon, to give the embossed-like floral forms, creating a soft protective layer around the body. Handcrafted three-dimensional floral embroideries are used on tulle in various layers or embedded inside sleeves made of tulle or on the body shirt- all to create depth and structure. A collaboration of customized Adidas Originals sneakers are worn throughout with ruffles and smocking blue, red and grey colorways set for availability this season.
