Milan, April 2025 – Borsalino, a symbol of Italian craftsmanship excellence since 1857, and OPHY, an innovative Italian eyewear reality founded in 2018, announce an exclusive collaboration. This partnership combines the historicity and manufacturing savoir-faire of Borsalino with the young and vibrant spirit of OPHY, led by Placido Minissale, the result of which is a capsule collection of Borsalino sunglasses, which will be premiered at MIDO 2025.

The collection: a tribute to timeless elegance. The protagonists of this capsule are Jean, Alain, Ingrid, and Marcello; names that evoke icons of elegance and charisma, inspiration for entire generations, which OPHY’s artisans have expertly and skillfully declined into essential geometric lines and distinctive details, creating eyewear that represents a perfect balance between contemporary design and timeless style. Material research is at the heart of the collection. The protagonist is Made in Italy cellulose acetate, declined in three color variants: the classic dark brown tortoiseshell, the elegant and mysterious black, and a bold light tortoiseshell for those who want a modern touch. Each model is embellished with the golden Borsalino logo that recalls the iconic sleeper of the Brand’s hats.
