Rebels on the road: the Dsquared2 Men Pre-Spring 2026 / PS26 / Resort 2026 collection explores icons of freedom and rebellion from the 50s and 70s, while incorporating these references into an endlessly wearable Dsquared2 wardrobe.

The visual narrative of the collection riffs on classic archetypes of school-days rebellion. The bathroom, where free spirits sneak away to smoke cigarettes or simply have a moment of freedom and solitude, becomes a stage of countercultural community.

Evoking this ethos through the brand’s signature layering and attention to detail, the collection combines reworked collegiate classics with icons of bad-boy style. 70s motorcycle boots are paired with cutoff denim shorts. Leather jackets, cargo pants, and distressed denim evoke a classically masculine silhouette. New takes on sweat sets, meanwhile, layer in a vibe of more casual comfort, while the collegiate sensibility of letter jackets and rugby shirts tells the story of a prepster gone bad.

Details of Dsquared2 Men Pre-Spring 2026 / Resort 2026 Luxurious knitwear plays a key role. Preppy knits are crafted with a lush sense of volume and smart material details. One bomber jacket pairs the season’s new denim monogram with knit sleeves for a clever hybrid combination. Linen also emerges as a core material, as classic summer shirts are reconsidered with new structural details and three-dimensional stitching techniques. Graphics and text evoke unearthed vintage pieces, with the “monkey business” tropical print extending the collection’s energy of playful mischief.

That spirit of countercultural summertime indulgence is further embodied by two exciting new collaborations. One is with photographer Tom Bianchi, whose iconic 70s and 80s polaroids of Fire Island’s vibrant gay community are vividly brought back to life as prints on T-shirts, bags, swimwear, and hoodies. The other collaboration is with Smiley, whose iconic smiley face deepens the collection’s graphic exploration of 70s subculture.

But of course, not all moments of rebellion can last forever. As these stylish rebels enjoy their taste of freedom in the school bathroom, the coolest teacher on campus walks in. Embodying Dsquared2’s signature practice of tailoring, he is effortlessly elegant in slick suits and sophisticated outerwear. With a knowing wink, he sends these troublemakers back to class – but not before bumming a cigarette and sharing a summertime memory.
