Schiaparelli Sportswear just released for SS25

Schiaparelli Sportswear just released for SS25, it’s Schiaparelli NEW ICONICS.

Schiaparelli has unveiled its latest Sportswear line for Spring/Summer 2025, a bold yet respectful nod to the house’s storied past. This season, Creative Director Daniel Roseberry reimagines the label’s pioneering spirit with a fresh lens, revisiting the roots of Elsa Schiaparelli’s original sportswear line launched nearly a century ago. The collection channels the designer’s first breakout moment in 1927, when a hand-knitted jumper featuring a trompe l’œil bow motif captured international attention and launched her fashion legacy.

Building on that revolutionary beginning, Schiaparelli pour le Sport evolved into a line of artful knitwear, including skirts, coats, and jumpers that seamlessly blended functionality with fantasy. Roseberry draws from this foundation to reintroduce knitwear as a platform for innovation and storytelling. For SS25, trompe l’œil is once again at the heart of the aesthetic, this time reinterpreted in sarong-inspired prints that add movement and intrigue to knitted dresses and skirts.

The collection highlights technical artistry and creative risk-taking. One standout look features a sleek, body-hugging ensemble crafted from fitted viscose knit, adorned with Schiaparelli’s iconic anatomical charms—subtle yet symbolic emblems of the house’s surrealist heritage. Elsewhere, the collection introduces playful juxtapositions, with hand-applied leather strips enhancing knitted bases, finished in a hand-spray painted gradient that glistens with every step.

Schiaparelli reaffirms its place at the crossroads of art and fashion. Roseberry’s SS25 sportswear line doesn’t just revive the past—it evolves it. Through bold textures, trompe l’œil illusions, and innovative materials, the collection brings Elsa Schiaparelli’s original spirit of daring into the 21st century, proving once again that heritage can be a source of endless reinvention.
