For Spring/Summer 2026, Nicklas Skovgaard presents Collection 11, a personal exploration of sleep, intimacy, and the quiet rituals that shape our daily lives. Rooted in the sanctuary of the bedroom, especially the bed, the collection reflects on how our private spaces inform our public personas. There’s something revealing about the link between how we sleep, how we do our bed, and how we dress for bed. The collection considers the way a good night’s rest can embolden our style, while a restless one might ruin the following day.

“Sleep is one of the most essential aspects of being a well-functioning human being,” says Nicklas Skovgaard. “Whether it’s a place of calm, chaos, or fantasy and dreams, your bed tells the truth about you. It defines not only the night you’ve had but the day you’re about to face. For me, the bedroom isn’t separate from fashion. It’s where we begin and end every day, just like getting dressed and undressed.”

Nicklas Skovgaard SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection blurs the boundary between nightwear and daywear, reimagining the aesthetics of rest through a conceptual lens. Quilting, draping, and layering mimic the sensation of being wrapped in bed: safe, soft, secure. Voluminous shapes and tactile fabrics recall duvets and worn-in sheets. Romantic touches like lace trims and satin collars meet the spontaneous layering of rushed mornings. Underwear becomes outerwear. Looks are pieced together with the same unconscious elegance as when dressing half-asleep, instinctive, imperfect, and quietly beautiful.

This story of private-to-public transition is enriched through thoughtful details in many aspects of the show. A collaboration with Sloggi brings the foundations of dressing into focus, with their signature underwear styled visibly throughout the collection, often worn visible. The makeup looks are created by Marie Thomsen using The Ordinary skincare and MAC Cosmetics. “I wanted to create a look that reflected the theme of the show as nighttime rituals: putting on a face mask before going to bed, taking a shower, and moisturizing your skin. Or those nights out where you come home too late, jumping directly into bed, waking up with your makeup from the day before,” says Marie Thomsen.

To bring the concept to life, Skovgaard transforms Nikolaj Kunsthal into a surreal dreamscape. Guests are seated on vintage beds dressed in white duvets and personal details, evoking the quiet storytelling of real bedrooms: intimate, imperfect, and full of truth. “I’ve always believed that how you make your bed and how you get dressed says everything about who you are,” Skovgaard says. “This collection and show are about embracing that intimacy and imperfection. About allowing the private to shape the public.”

All models wore shoes from Scholl, some specially designed by Nicklas Skovgaard for the show. Collection 11 is a celebration of rest, ritual, and the quiet power of how we begin and end each day.
